Major NYT Report Coming Out Tomorrow...
Oh shit.

Drudge:

"The methods employed by the CIA against high-level leaders and operatives of al-Qaida are so severe that senior officials of the FBI have directed bureau agents to stay out of many of the interviews of the high-level detainees, the NYT is reporting Thursday in an exclusive... MORE..."

4. And that's because...
Edited on Wed May-12-04 09:38 PM by Lydia Leftcoast
you see them as evil, right? And it's okay to do anything you want to someone who's evil, right?

The trouble is that they see us as evil...

6. But I think this could be part of a new smokescreen...
Many people *do* see harsh treatment of "high level" detainees, or Al Qaeda ops, differently from what was done to people plucked off the streets in Iraq. I'm wondering if this could be an RNC confuse-the-topic ploy... Confuse the Iraqis in Abu Ghraib with the "terrorists," a tactic they've used to confuse Saddam and 9/11. They can talk at length about how bad the detainees in this story are, and next thing you know they'll have some catch phrases people will parrot in reference to any and all detainees, including those in Abu Ghraib...

Just a hunch.

7. And so runs the evil merry-go-round.
There are no enemies...only injustice.

If we spent as much money on making sure injustice was minimized as we do on the Pentagon this world might be a better place.

Actually, I do see AQ as an evil organization. I see their members as fantatics and murderers.

9. They are evil. There was never a disagreement about that.
Remember, 90% agreed with that. It's Iraq where I part company with the current administration.

I also don't care what they think about us. The 19 hijackers were middle class Arabs. May they burn in hell.

11. Talking about evil? How about the influence of Col. Aquino in US Army
MI and the Defense Intelligence Agency? When off duty he'd minister to all that would listen as a Church of Satan priest. He took over the Church of Satan and replaced it with his own cult/religion the Temple of Set in 1975 while listed as on active duty.

He came out of the culture of MI which historically includes real Nazis, organized crime, mercenaries, terrorists and add satanists/setians to those "national security" assets.:nuke:

NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.

13. Uh
I really don't know what you're babbling about with the "Church of Satan" stuff.

Maybe this forum isn't all it's cracked up to be.

12. Let's see, let's see......
We (all around the world, all cultures, religions) AGREE that we hate EVIL. Loathe, deteste it, won't support it.....our division arises when we attempt to 'define evil' and from whence does it stem (originate). How about if we all got together and tried to figure THAT out....the root of the 'problem'...Oh, wait, That's what 'radical' means doesn't it? (Not that we're the 'root' of the problem, rather that we want to see what's at the root of the problem - those 'other guys' just want to 'manage' the evil - that right there creates 'division').
