3. His, "oh shit, I'm a one-termer just like Dear old Dad" moment
came in the last week. He knows he is totally fucked. At this point, he is hoping he won't get re-selected because if he is, and the Dems have enough seats to call for independent counsel, his shit is going to make teapot dome, watergate, and monicagate look like a couple of kindergartens busted for stealing bubblegum.

4. He looks overwhelmed and grief stricken
In picture 1 and 3: Overwhelmed and grief-stricken. Please read just about any of my other 300+ posts here, I am not a bushbot (in fact I'm far left of most here). But, honestly, without knowing context or anything else, this is what I see in these photos.

This is a figurehead pResident (in the grand tradition of Reagan's Alzhemeiers-stricken second term) but, between golf games and guffawing at fundraisers, perhaps some of the reality spun under his watch has gotten through to him.

I actually thought I was watching someone who was clinically depressed during the press conference a month or so ago.

(Here's hoping they dole out Prozac in Levinworth.)

8. I disagree, partly
#1 - looks arrogant and condescending. "WTF is that guy thinking?" The mouth suggests he* is disappointment, but those despicable eyes tell a far greater story.

#2 - Obviously taken aback by what somebody had said. I can't imagine what...

#3 - He's trying to look sad. I'm not entirely sure, but I think he's acting - if not embellishing a feeling of remorse. His expression is waaaaaaaaaay too forced. And then there's context. If he's acting, why? If he's sincere (uh-huh :eyes: ), why? I could say he's looking that way because he's remembering a 50 year old memory of spilling some milk onto the countertop with mommy slapping his wrist...

9. I think you may be right, however.........
but not for the reasons you state. He is grief stricken and yes I believe the reality has gotten through to him. That he has lost everything that he holds dear to his privileged ass!

12. I agree, not for the reasons I stated...
I see fear in Bush's eyes in #1 and #3 (I see emptiness in #2, but that's standard with Bush). And it may be because reality has seeped in a bit. But I agree with Jacobin's post, down a little farther on this thread:

"He knows all the sycophants around him who have agreed with all of his silly barbaric idiotic war plans are now distancing themselves from him.

He knows Iraq is lost."

Bush is alone. Afraid. And lost.

6. He knows about more shit that isn't public yet.
He knows all the sycophants around him who have agreed with all of his silly barbaric idiotic war plans are now distancing themselves from him.

He knows Iraq is lost.

He's trying to figure out some ghastly godawful move he can pull to get his sorry biblethumping ass out of the fire.
