1. christ . everytime somebody brings Ritter up
Edited on Wed May-12-04 03:52 PM by jonnyblitz
several people bring the molestation thing up to imply that it discredits anything he has to say. It's very surprising this is the first you have heard of this...

2. I'm surprised, too.

Looks like I have some Googling to do. The only thing I can think is that at some point I must have gotten completely overloaded with the outrage-a-day nature of this administration. There just wasn't enough room for one more outrage.

16. You Think They'll Take....
the same line with Senator McCain or he is too much for them. He seem pretty peeed up so much so as walking out when that prick of a guy (James Inhofe) was speaking.

5. It isn't slander
The man pled guilty to improper contact (via the computer) to what he thought was a minor. The fact his punishment was so light, likely means that either the behavior wasn't too bad or the case was weak but the man pled guilty.

21. Are you sure?
Edited on Wed May-12-04 05:58 PM by redqueen
I thought I remembered reading that the case was dismissed, and that the records were sealed. I also read that the journalist who leaked the details was breaking the law since the records were sealed, but that there was never any action taken on that criminal act.

You said that the punishment was light - what exactly was the punishment?

11. They pulled out all the guns to destroy him
it was vicious and ruthless. He flirted with a teen aged girl in a chat room, big deal. I wouldn't be surprised if he was set up. They made it sound like he was molesting 3 year olds.

"Calling Maj. Ritter" is a great article by Col. David Hackworth.

18. I saw a video of Ritter giving a speech on Iraq and WMDs...
It was a fantastic speech! The video belonged to a local peace group, but no one rememberes where they got it. Does anyone here know where I could find it?
