Here is conclusive proof that Wolf Blitzer from CNN is a total right-wing whore. I really don't
care about political polls in May, but I posted this to show the clear right-wing bias of Wolf Blitzer.
-----------
CNN WOLF BLITZER REPORTS
Bush Backs Rumsfeld; Will Prisoner Abuse Scandal Affect November Election?
Aired May 10, 2004 -
BLITZER: Joe Johns reporting from Capitol Hill -- thanks, Joe, very much.
The full political impact of the prisoner abuse scandal of course won't be known for some time. Even its immediate impact on the presidential contenders is certainly unclear, at least right now. In a weekend poll of likely voters, 47 percent supported President Bush; 45 percent said John Kerry is their choice for president; 5 percent picked Ralph Nader.
Here to talk about all of this, the chairman of the Republican National Committee, Ed Gillespie, his Democratic counterpart, Terry McAuliffe.

And now ALL the facts, not just part of the facts-
USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll results from the May 7-9 poll
If Massachusetts Senator John Kerry were the Democratic Party's candidate and George W. Bush were the Republican Party's candidate, who would you be more likely to vote for: John Kerry, the Democrat or George W. Bush, the Republican?
May 7-9 - 2004 -
Likely Voters - Kerry - 47% -- Bush 48%
Registered Voters - Kerry 50% -- Bush 44%
Adults Over 18 - Kerry 51% -- Bush 43%
http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/nation/polls/usatodaypolls.htm------------------
Now compare that to what Wolf Blitzer said, Wolf said that a poll over the weekend had Bush at 47% and Kerry at 45%. Yet their own CNN poll had Bush at 48% and Kerry at 47% among likely voters. But when you sample registered voters Kerry is winning by 6 points at 50%, yet Wolf cites some un-named poll that has Kerry at 45%. This is a clear example of how Wolf and CNN mislead the American people, and how they cherry pick the polls to make it look better for Bush.
For the record: I can not find any polls taken by anyone in May that shows Bush beating Kerry 47 to 45 percent. On top of that just 4 days earler Wolf was quoting the CNN/USA Today/Gallop poll. So how come he quotes an un-named poll 4 days later that claims Bush is beating Kerry 47 to 45 percent ?

CNN WOLF BLITZER REPORTS
Interview With Sen. Bob Graham; Massive Car Bomb Explodes In Baghdad; President Bush, John Kerry In Dead Heat For Presidency
Aired May 6, 2004 -
BLITZER: Amid all of this there are new poll numbers coming out today, suggesting that events in Iraq are beginning to have a serious impact, potentially on the U.S. presidential campaign.
Our senior political analyst Bill Schneider is joining us now, looking at these new numbers. A Gallup poll, released today, likely voter's choice for president. We'll put up on the screen: John Kerry, 47 percent, Bush, 47 percent, Ralph Nader, 3 percent. What do you make of these numbers?
http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0405/06/wbr.00.html------------
Now you see in the above quote from 5-6-04 Wolf quotes the CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll that has Bush and Kerry tied at 47 percent. That poll was taken from 5-2-04 to 5-4-04, but here is the misleading part. Wolf says it is the likely voters category, that is a lie, the 47 to 47 tie is in the registered voters category, not the likely voters category. Kerry is beating Bush 49 to 48 percent in the likely voters category.
May 2-4, 2004 -
Likely Voters - Kerry - 49% -- Bush - 48%
Registered voters - Kerry - 47% -- Bush - 47%
http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/nation/polls/usatodaypolls.htmNow 3 days later Wolf does a new show on 5-10-04, just one day before that show CNN/USA/Today/Gallup released a new poll on 5-9-04. This poll has Kerry beating Bush by 6 points, and this is the same poll Wolf cited just 4 days earlier on a 5-6-04 show. But instead of quoting the new CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll that has Kerry with a 6 point lead among registered voters, Wolf cites and un-named weekend poll that has Bush beating Kerry 47 to 45 percent.
Quote:
5-10-04 - BLITZER: In a weekend poll of likely voters, 47 percent supported President Bush; 45 percent said John Kerry is their choice for president; 5 percent picked Ralph Nader.
----------
Notice that Wolf cites likely voters in the 5-10-04 show from the CNN/USA Today/gallup poll, yet when you look at the registered voters category in the same exact poll, Kerry is beating Bush 50 to 44 percent. Wolf cherry picked the one category from that poll that showed Bush beating Kerry 47 to 45 percent.
On top of that there was a 3rd category, and Kerry is beating Bush in that category too.
Adults Over 18 -
May, 7-9, 2004 - Kerry - 51% -- Bush - 43%
-----------
Conclusion:
The CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll had 3 category's, Likely voters, Registered voters, and Adults over 18. They ran 2 different polls, one from May 2nd to the 4th, and one from May 7th to the 9th. Wolf did 2 shows, one on 5-6-04 and another on 5-10-04, on both shows he cited polls that showed Bush beating Kerry. On one show he cited the CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll and on the other show he cited an un-named weekend poll with Bush beating Kerry 47 to 45 percent. This weekend poll can not be found anywhere, I have checked all the known polls taken in May and none of them have Bush beating Kerry 47 to 45 percent.
While at the same time the 5-10-04 show was aired a new CNN/USA Today/Gallup had just been released that was taken from may 7th to the 9th. It was a weekend poll, yet Wolf never cited it, he cited a weekend poll with Bush beating Kerry 47 to 45 percent. A poll that can not be found anywhere.
Yet in the CNN/USA Today/Gallup weekend poll the registered voters category has Kerry beating Bush by 6 points at 50 to 44 percent. It also has Kerry beating Bush 51 to 43 percent among adults over 18. The only category with Bush beating Kerry is likely voters where Bush is beating Kerry 48 to 47 percent.
This shows a clear bias in the reporting of these poll results. Wolf Blitzer clearly cherry picked one specific category of the polls that had Bush beating Kerry. He also lied about the numbers in the likely voters category, he said Bush and Kerry are tied at 47 percent. The tie at 47 percent is in the registered voters category. He did all this while ignoring all other categories from the same polls that had Kerry beating Bush from 6 to 7 points.
I sent an e-mail to Wolf and told him we the people know he is a right-wing liar. It probably wont
do any good, but at least he will know we know he is a liar.
