Is that Berg in the video

Do we have any confirmation that the person in the video is actually Berg? We need to nail down some details on this issue to begin to sort out the truth. The first question has to be is that Berg. Does anyone have any leads on this matter?

Perhaps the people who know him are too terrified to speak up, seeing what happened to him.

6. The family does not appear to be easily intimidated

they are openly accusing the government of holding him and making him lose his flight home, thereby contributing to his death. They just called the US officials liars for claiming Berg was not in US custody.

7. Confirmation rather than supposition

Yes it seems a valid argument to assume that someone would speak up if it were not him. But there are any number of reasons why they may not. The video is quite horrendous and the grief may be too great for them to even contemplate such things.

The trouble here is that we cannot get a direct confirmation that it was indeed Berg in the video. Are there any confirming recognitions of the video being him from anyone that knew him?

or something. His hair is dark in it and his photos they put on tv showed him with other hair. I know you can cut it, but he didn't look like the same man to me.

11. Working with what we have

We do not know their state of mind when viewing the video or even if they have viewed the video. We have heard no statement from them commenting on the video. If we have any such information bring it forward and we can see if it answers the questions. Otherwise we have an absense of information and that does not constitute evidence one way or the other.
