SECRET SSS proposal--MILITARY DRAFT WILL BE UP TO 34, TAKE WOMEN!!
Selective Service Eyes Women's Draft

By Eric Rosenberg

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer
Saturday 01 May 2004

The proposal would also require registration of critical skills.

WASHINGTON -- The chief of the Selective Service System has proposed registering women for the military draft and requiring that young Americans regularly inform the government about whether they have training in niche specialties needed in the armed services.

The proposal, which the agency's acting Director Lewis Brodsky presented to senior Pentagon officials just before the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, also seeks to extend the age of draft registration to 34 years old, up from 25.

The Selective Service System plan, obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, highlights the extent to which agency officials have planned for an expanded military draft in case the administration and Congress would authorize one in the future.

"In line with today's needs, the Selective Service System's structure, programs and activities should be reengineered toward maintaining a national inventory of American men and, for the first time, women, ages 18 through 34, with an added focus on identifying individuals with critical skills," the agency said in a Feb. 11,
2003, proposal presented to senior Pentagon officials.

1. "With an added focus on identifying individuals with critical skills"
Don't worry: if you're an ignorant smalltown bubba with no Arabic language skills, you have nothing to worry about.

4. No, they've talked about a Special Skills Draft before
The proposal says military draft. Don't need a skill, they'll just DRAFT WOMEN. Wouldn't give them combat roles but would free up the male paper-pushers for combat.

Your daughters are now AT RISK!

2. Translation: Draft NURSES
Those bastards deluge me with military crap every other month. They are desperate for nurses, like every health care facility in the country. That's why the age limit is so high, and that is why they're threatening to draft women.

Drafting women this age is just plain silly, as most will be mothers of young children. It's stupid for the children, for the women, for the military, and for the country.

If they're so desperate for nurses, why don't they entice enlistment by paying for nursing school, followed by 4 years mandatory service? That would solve their problems, and possibly relieve some of the pressure on hospitals, already staffed at unsafe levels.

3. Didn't the Soviet Union do something similar?
I thought they kept tabs on citizen's "critical skills" so that they could move individual workers from factory to factory as needed. Am I wrong about this?

5. So are we going to pass the E.R.A.?
If we want to draft women it's a must, period. The Cons argued against ERA saying women boo hoo will be drafted if it's passed. If the Republican controlled Senate, House and WH are going to draft women then the Democrats US WE need to throw this in their faces. If a draft comes for women we damn sure better get our ERA!
How many Wars will we have to die in before they do? How many Wars did our Black Brothers die in before Civil Rights was passed not until 1964! Who I may add fought in American Wars as far back as the Revolutionary War!

10. They will put you in the infantry, Mos.11 Bravo! No skills needed
The US can't even keep enough people in Iraq and they will be looking for replacements! They plan to move into the countries in what was the southern USSR! Places like where the explosion killed those people over the weekend! We will provide security for Halliburton's new oilfields in the Caspian Basin! Putin can't keep the peace but Bushco can for some oil! It's coming if Bush is re-selected! The plans are already in motion!

do with respect to John Kerry. He has posed questions that he wants answered before he supports any candidate.

13. That was before Kerry came out and explained how
Kerry's NO-DRAFT plan is to raise 40,000 additional troops and avoid reinstatement of the draft is added up this way:

1. Move some paper-pushers to combat (lots of potential there)
2. Increase enlistment with real scholarships and pay raises
3. Let troops know Special Ops will hunt al-Queda, no more invasions needed, so re-up rate goes up. "Primarily a law enforcement effort, not a full military effort", say JK.
4. Start a "Civilian Stability Corps" that would help in reconstructing Afghanistan and Iraq and relieve military pressure.
5. GET FOREIGN TROOPS TO COME INTO INSTEAD OF LEAVE IRAQ!!

http://www.candidatemap.com

"...I propose that we enlist thousands of them in a Civilian Stability Corps, a reserve organization of volunteers ready to help win the peace in troubled places. Like military reservists, they will have peacetime jobs; but in times of national need, they will be called into service to restore roads, renovate schools, open hospitals, repair power systems, draft a constitution, or build a police force. A Civilian Stability Corps can bring the best of America to the worst of the world—and reduce pressure on the military."
< Source: Kerry, John. "Protecting Our Military Families in Times of War: A Military Family Bill of Rights." March 17, 2004. http://johnkerry.com/pressroom/speeches/spc_2004_0317.html >

With this NO-DRAFT PLAN, Kerry will not have to resort to conscription, even after Bush screwed the whole thing up.

From STOPTHEDRAFT.COM

http://technologyreports.net/stopthedraft/?articleID=2550

What do a former fighter pilot in the National Guard and a former officer in the Navy have in common? Both have promised not to reinstate the military draft if elected president.

Senator John Kerry has promised that if elected president he will not reinstate the military draft, but will increase troop numbers by 40,000.

President Bush and his staff have also promised the American public that there are no plans to reinstate the military draft.

-snip-

John Kerry wants to deploy 40,000 more troops to Iraq and finish the job quickly. Yet when asked how he would do it, he said that a draft is not needed and people will enlist. This approach seems rather naïve and overly optimistic.

To his advantage, however, Senator Kerry was an anti-war activist after serving his duties as a Navy officer in the Vietnam War and knows first-hand the pitfalls of the military draft.

BUSH '04 = DRAFT '05
KERRY '04 = PNAC OUT THE DOOR!

24. They're going after the IRR right now, so draft activation may not
be held off until November.

The bottom of the barrel is in scrape mode. We could see the draft being activated in as short as three months:

I mean, what part of Bush's World Conquest don't they understand? How else will he achieve the PNAC goal of regime change in Syria and Iran without a draft? He has to start planning this now so we can be ready as soon as Inaguaration Day passes. People who don't understand this are in denial. Wake the fuck up!
