1. maybe it is because they think women and African Americans
are stupid and will vote for someone just because she fits any number of categories.

Talk about an echo chamber--the two of them together would produce a squeal of feedback so shrill it would shatter windows all the way to Iowa.

3. This was actually my suspicion all along.....
I just figured that the neocons assumed they could win this year's election, then Cheney would retire in '06 or '07 and would be replaced by Rice in time for the biggest neocon fear: Hillary running in '08.
