Tough times call for the best of us to come together and fight back against the powers that wreak havoc in the world. This is no time for being "nice", for policing "good words" and "bad words", for deference to power, for trust of the administration, of TV, of newspapers. It's not a time to blindly trust politicians, anyone, that wears the cloak of state and lusts after human flesh in their dream world of conquest, slaughter, righteous wars, heroism, holy crusades, raw, absolute power and total domination.

I've been seeing people coming together and working on various projects that will have a real impact in the world, and here on DU of course. BBV is a prime example of this. I've seen people shrug off their complacency, roll up their sleeves and get busy. There's no time for niceties and pleasant banter when there are people dying on all sides and our "leadership" is mostly either brimming with arrogance, drunk on power or whimpering about how unfair it all is and going with the flow.

Those who watched that video over and over to look for clues about its authenticity or lack thereof deserve thanks for their courage and ability to focus on the cause in the face of such abject horror.

I saw the video twice and I never want to see these depraved killers of another human being again as long as I live. Anyone who can watch it more often is brave and dedicated. Thank you for doing the work the rest of us can't stomach. It's important and should be commended. We need to know if it's fake, if it's real, and we need to identify who did what, when, and where the missing footage is. We need to know who took the film, on what camera and who was behind the camera. How many were there? Was that really the man they claim him to be? What was he doing allegedly tooling around Iraq in the middle of a war looking for radio towers to inspect? Why would he do that? Why was he arrested? Why was he released? Who was really his employer?

There are more and more questions and few answers. Keep on digging people, we are all counting on you.
