Strange info emerging about Berg killing

Oddities surrounding the execution of Nick Berg: Berg was a prisoner of the U.S. military in Iraq. West Chester contractor missing in Iraq (May. 08, 2004, Associated Press) Nick Berg, 26, owned a business called Prometheus Methods Tower Service Inc. He first went to Iraq on Dec. 21. He stayed until Feb. 1, making contact with a company that indicated there would likely be work for him later. But he returned on March 14 and there was no work, so he began traveling. He usually called home once a day and e-mailed several times; Michael Berg is his business manager, and they needed to stay in touch... When FBI agents arrived at the Berg's West Chester home on March 31, they were relieved to know their son was alive, but in jail. The agents questioned them about various details that only they and their son would know about. Jerri Williams, spokeswoman for the Philadelphia FBI office, said the agency was "asked to interview the parents regarding Mr. Berg's purpose in Iraq." On April 5, the Bergs filed suit in federal court in Philadelphia, contending that their son was being held illegally by the U.S. military in Iraq. The next day, April 6, Nick Berg was released. Nick Berg said he would come home through Jordan, Turkey or Kuwait... The Bergs have hounded the State Department, the FBI and the International Committee of the Red Cross, seeking information. Michael Berg said the State Department sent an official to Nick Berg's hotel, where an employee told the official they had not heard of him.

Berg interrogated by FBI for two weeks (May 7, 2004 5:27 pm US/Eastern) Among those missing in Iraq is a West Chester, Pa. man who went there on his own in March to inspect damaged radio towers... 26-year-old Nick Berg didn't sign a privacy waiver when he went over there. And even though the State Department is using its one person in Iraq to help track him down, they can't tell anyone, including Berg's parents what's going on. Nick last checked in April 9th, saying he was trying to find a safe way home following two weeks of FBI interrogation, after an arrest in Mosul. He was released after his identity and intentions were confirmed.

And when's the last time a hostage was "disposed of" horrifically on camera?
On the average most hostages there have been freed eventually.

I have not seen it. I really don't want to see it. Those who have seen it posted that there are some issues with the tape - obvious jump-cuts, timer jumping around, etc. And they say that there isn't much blood.

Could the tape be a complete fake?

Has anyone in his family seen this man's body? Do we have confirmed evidence that he is actually dead?

I'm sorry that my questions will upset some here. There are a lot of odd things about this tape, and it is the American way to question authority. My right to do so is guaranteed in the Constitution.

to totally dismiss this out of hand is irresponsible under the circumstances. This man was involved in communications. Perhaps he was in a position to eavesdrop, or accidentally intercept some sensitive info. Perhaps he didn't, but the Feds feel he did.

if Nick Berg had been reported has missing or captured before his body was found last Saturday? And if this was reported, who claimed responsiblity?

It seems that most of the other people that have been captured lately, the people holding them announced it shortly thereafter in order to use the victim has leverage for their political demands.

Also, what did his parents do or say when they stopped hearing from him after he was released on April 6th? Prior to getting arrested he had contacted them almost everyday. Then he gets released, he calls them once to let them know, but then he disappears again? It seems odd he did not resume his previous habits? Under the circumstances, I would assume his family would be sounding the alarm bells since the middle of April at the latest?

Are there any reports or articles about Nick Berg prior to last Saturday when his body had been found?

...that is said to be behind the Madrid bombings? Zarqawi or something like that? Anyway, I swear to God that on one of my local news stations last night they provided a bit of translation of what the one guy was reading before they murdered Berg and part of the translation was something like "This video is of so and so Zarqawi (I forget the guy's name) about the behead Nick Berg." I'm actually paraphrasing but the thing is that in this particular news segment they were basically saying that Zarqawi did it. I thought that it was strange for him to have his face hidden if he was going to say his name. I struck me as too convenient and I haven't heard any other news report mentioning Zarqawi in connection with Berg's killing.
