So why doesn't Bush open the oil reserves?
Remember how the Republicans hounded Clinton to open up the oil reserves when prices climbed. Bush even gets a pass on high gasoline prices eventhough it has been proven that the prices don't have to be this high. The oil companies only want bigger profits.

1. Because they're stockpiling oil for the next big push in the Middle East.

4. Remember the oil in storage equals less than 90 days usage.
Today in May 10, Election is November, you have June, July, August. September AND October to go through till the election. Bush will wait till September and use the excuse of the coming Winter to release oil from the reserve and thus reduce price of Gasoline before the Election.

5. In the same way he raided the treasury for tax refunds to his oil & corpor
ate friends, he's giving his buddies inthe oil companies a chance to
"profiteer". Although I doubt he'll have the nerve to say "it's because Iraq is not pumping oil"

Expect to see oil from Russia soon.

The firm I work for submitted my CV today to conduct the environmental study to turn Murmansk into a large oil export terminal to increase Russian exports to the U.S. from 3% to 10% ASAP.

There is a lot of global oil dealing going on right now because of Bush's screwups in the ME.
