5. Shameful, But What Did You Expect

I noticed that they were quick to point out that the Bergs might not care for this administration, and that somehow marginalizes their grief for their son.

One needs to ask the question of why did we (US) hold this man, an American citizen, in prison for over two weeks? Why did the Bergs have such a difficult time finding out where their son was? Why did his family have to sue rumsfeld to have their son released?

One thing that nobody knows for sure is that, was he really released on April 6? Even though he spoke with his family on April 9, nobody has come forward to say that they saw him after he had been in US custody.
The correspondence with his family was not extensive, since his release and do not prove unequivocally that he had been freed, or not released to someone he felt he could trust.
