Fallujah conspiracy theory
CBS had the pictures during the stand off and were asked by Meyers to hold off releasing them.

American soldiers withdraw

Saddam loyalist over sees American withdrawl.

Iraqis dance in the streets of Fallujah. Insurgents declare victory.

Bremer backtracks on de-Bathification

U.S.A. suffers humiliating military defeat.

CBS releases Pictures of U.S. soldiers Humiliating Iraqis

The focus shifts from American Humiliation to Iraqi humiliation

Prison "abuse" Scandal erupts and is quickly defused.

In my theory Rove held a focus group to determine which of these two outcomes was worse for Bush-co.

1. except
there's nothing about today's Berg video that in any way "defuses" the Abu-Ghraib scandal.

2. What happened to Mr. Berg is very bad in US public's eyes
It will not help Bush at all.

6. Depends on where you are in the country.
I posted earlier I think that will push WV closer to Bush.

3. have you been watching TV today.
The Prison scandal is over.
It was over yesterday when Bush, after having seen ALL the video and pics, asked us to thank Rumsfeld.
The media is asking the critics of the prison story to comment on the new berg video.
Its Over I'm as stunned as the rest of us.

5. Not by a long shot - it will not be allowed to die, especially
when there are other pictures and an ongoing investigation, and a media that is semi awake now

7. after everything that happened today what make anyone think
he prison "abuse" scandal has any legs left.

Any new pictures or video will always be compared against the Berg video.

The RW has already started to attack the outrage as outrageous

IMHO its over

how many DU threads on the subject today ?
