CBS to Air (new) Soldier Video Diary on Prison(60 Minutes II at it again)

NEW YORK - A video that shows a young American soldier saying "who cares?" about Iraqi prisoners who died will air on "60 Minutes II."

The CBS newsmagazine (8 p.m. EDT Wednesday) obtained the video diary of a soldier, whose name was withheld, talking about conditions at Camp Bucca and Abu Ghraib in Iraq (news - web sites), where Iraqi prisoners were held.

It was "60 Minutes II" that first aired pictures two weeks ago of prisoners allegedly being abused at Abu Ghraib, igniting a political tempest.

"We've already had two prisoners die ... but who cares?" the soldier says on the tape. "That's two less for me to worry about."

The tape reflects the soldier's dislike for the prison camp and the prisoners, according to CBS.

"I hate it here," she says. "I want to come home. I want to be a civilian again. We actually shot two prisoners today. One got shot in the chest for swinging a pole against our people on the feed team. One got shot in the arm. We don't know if the one we shot in the chest is dead yet."

Of course, the Freepers know where to put the blame.

They are the sickest bastards around. They're a veritable online cult.

They were in their heydey during the attempted overthrow of Clinton (the impeachment), when one of the house manglers (Bob Barr I think) actually kept in contact with them during the trials.

They were funded by someone with money during that period, but after Bush stole the presidency, the funding apparently stopped. They had been paid by their John, for services rendered in every position imaginable.

Free Republic represents the proliferation of the internet, even under rocks.

Not that Bob Barr is a reputable man but I was suprised that a public official would associate himself with those guys.

You know, I actually found the democratic underground by reading the nonsense at that stupid site. Everytime someone posted a sensible message, they would scream in chorus"GO BACK TO THE UNDERGROUND." I saw this about 5 times and wondered what they were talking about. Someone else apparently was wondering the same thing because they asked what "the underground" was and got a reply saying"the democratic underground." So I surfed on over here and have been reading ever since.

I remember reading a thread over there, linked from here, about the military assuming control of the U.S government in the event of another 9/11 like attack. About 95% of the freepers were saying that they would support such a government. So all their rhetoric about "living free" is just that. They would prefer to live in a totatlitarian state with Bush as the head.
