Bush to introduce "Honor the President week"
Just think if Bush signed an executive order declaring the week before Nov. 2004, "Honor the President week". I wouldn't put it past Bush, he is capable of worse.

2. I REALLY object
to your subject line. It's a trick, and a not very nice one. Please change it to speculative rather than factual.

5. It's a joke
Satire is still allowed in general discussion.

7. Then it should be labeled as such
I spend a great deal of time at DU and I STILL don't get to read and absorb as much as I'd like. I really resent being tricked into reading anything, let alone something that's really stoooopid "satire."

13. I think you're being ridiculous
It wasn't in LBN, therefore there is no rule out there stating that the subject line has to be written a certain way? If we go formatting our posts according to what Eloriel thinks they should be, things could get a little tricky.

It doesn't take long to click on a post, realize it's not what you thought, then navigate away. Instead, you've chosen to post multiple times about how you don't like the subject line. There are hundreds of subject lines I don't like, or that mislead me, but cest la vie.

3. Collossally dimwitted and entirely Chimpworthy
Of course, Rove wouldn't allow it, because it may be the only way he could actually lose.

6. Bush's Public Appearances
Edited on Sun Jul-06-03 11:35 PM by OrdinaryTa
It would make my day for Bush to make a public appearance that's truly public. To my knowledge, he's never done so. The only appearances he makes are in front of hand-picked audiences, usually military or Republican contributors. If he's so popular, let's see him go out during Honor the President Week and accept the applause and handshakes from the public at large. Don't hold your breath waiting ....
