Wes Clark says it would be "patriotic" thing for Rumsfeld to step down
On the NBC news show, Meet the Press, General Wesley Clark said that Rumsfeld should not step down because he can no longer do his job. He thought he was still capable of doing his job with the respect of our military but because of our loss of credibility amongst our allies around the world, it would be the "patriotic" thing to do for Rumsfeld to resign.

Sen. John Warner (VA), another guest on the roundtable, did not think Rumsfeld should step down, especially with two wars going on at this time. General Clark was very critical of the Bush Administration and said it was a failure of leadership at the very top. Senator Lindsay Graham (SC) accused him of playing "politics" with the issue, although he did not mention the General by name.

2. He's not resigning or being fired because it would be harmful to Bush
that's all they care about is him getting reelected. He and Bush are going to be able to fix Iraq. They have broken it beyond repair.

6. I totally agree.
And, how diplomatic of the General. A really patriotic act would be for that scum Rummy to turn himself in at the Hague.

7. I like Clarke's approach--no doubts, no punches pulled
and he is right on the button.

I hope Kerry chooses him for VP, and also appoints Edwards to something, as well as Kucinich and Dean, and Sharpton and Braun.

Do you think we have the makings of a cabinet there?

They are all so wonderful, and such good people.

Clarke also is very very handsome and appealing.

9. Cute...using the Bushies' own weapon against them
There is no doubt Rummy will go. Bush will follow. He won't make it to November.
