Rove opens his mouth: at Falwell's university

http://www.fredericksburg.com/News/apmethods/apstory?urlfeed=D82EGUVO1.xml

President Bush's chief political adviser, Karl Rove, counseled graduates of the Rev. Jerry Falwell's Liberty University on Saturday to ignore the cynics and judge leaders by their character.

America, he said, needs people who have "the moral clarity and courage to do what's right, regardless of consequence, fashion or fad."

"These things can't be taught in a government textbook ... or the editorial page of The New York Times. You either have values ingrained in your heart and soul that will not change with the wind or you don't," Rove said.

Rove reminded the 2,041 graduates to pay off their credit cards and to never act smarter than their bosses. "Even if you are," he added.

1. I love the line
'moral clarity and courage to do what's right'. He obviously isn't talking about bush or his administration. Forget Ted Bundy's brain, lets study Karl Rove's.

2. They know they're hemorrhaging swing votes, so their only hope is
to turn out their fundie base like crazy.

3. The reigning kink of sleezy underhanded dirty tricks giving lessons
on morality. Now if that isn't just the weirdest thing I've seen today. (Considering the events of the past week or so, I had to narrow down my time frame. But I'm fully confident that before the day is out the idiots in the bush* administration will come up with something else that just makes me shake my head and wonder how, considering how frigging backwards they are, they don't hand themselves tying their own shoelaces.

4. Clearly, GWB's people are following Rove's advice.
Don't act smarter than your boss.... What the hell kind of advice is that anyway! I always wanted the people who worked with me to be smarter than I was.

6. Rove is telling them to be mindless sheep
"Take a look at our agenda. The tax cuts will make the economy grow.
As people do better, they start voting like Republicans-- unless they
have too much education and vote Democratic, which proves there can be
too much of a good thing."
- Karl Rove, The New Yorker, February 19, 2001

5. Analysis
America, he said, needs people who have "the moral clarity and courage to do what's right

- that counts Bush out

You either have values ingrained in your heart and soul that will not change with the wind or you don't,"

- they may be ingrained by Lucifer, but hey, their your values now

"pay off their credit cards"

- Because once we get the Bankruptcy bill passed, you're toast if you don't

"never act smarter than their bosses. "Even if you are," he added"

- interpretation: I run the White House and have W on a leash

"Unfortunately the little Catholic girl down the street was a couple years and about 20 pounds on me. She was for Kennedy.

"When she saw me on my bike with my bumper sticker for Nixon, she put me on the ground, flattened me out and gave me a bloody nose," he said."

- interpretation - Catholics are bad, fat people who beat you up and Democrats are mean evil bullies. You nice fundamentalists must wage holy war against the infidels.

In a private session later, Rove gave instructions on stealing letterhead from political opponents and push-polling with illegitimate child questions.
