OK...."what if".....
Kerry wins by a close margin?
What will happen on the repuke side?

The reason I ask this is because we have had several DUers post
hypothetical scenarios where a US civil war might erupt if the dems
were to see their elections stolen. Well, how about the other way
around?

I personally believe that we are in much greater danger from the
repukes starting something if Kerry were to win. Remember, these
are the ultra-religious, gun-owning nutcases that believe that the
US is right and that god is with us.

If we managed to reclaim our country with Kerry's win, I have a
feeling that the right won't stay put. They can't. They know that
Kerry will (hopefully) start investigations into 9/11 and its
aftermath..including the entire Afghan and Iraqi invasions. Imagine
the shit that could be dug up. Literally, it would destroy not only
the republican party, but a social strata of this country.

Will their brain dead minions grab their guns to prevent this? Will
they accuse the left of being "commie, terrorist sympathizers" and
thus a "threat" to the US?

If Kerry does NOT investigate, then our democracy as a whole is
LOST. He needs to investigate and come out clean for the rest of the
world to believe that there is TRUE CHANGE in the works.

Either way...I think America as we knew it pre-9/11, will never come
back.

7. i think you give people much more credit..
I don't buy into this whole civil war thing. The american people have been MTV'ed into submission, and aside from a vocal minority on both sides, nobody really cares enough to do anything about it. Will there be unrest? yes. Will there be anything approaching what you're talking about? nope, the police will be ready for it, and will be trotted out AKA the seattle, miami protest "handling" and that will be that.

i could certainly be wrong, but i just don't see enough people caring to the point where they leave their house unless they are fanatics, or being paid like the republican disruptors did last time.

4. They're scared.
Anyone with half a brain can see the results of the lies and the arrogance we've been spoonfed.

Come November, if the election is not stolen again, there will be a lot of apologists.

3. The Military hates Bush now.
The repukes will be put in their place. If Wes Clark is VP, there will DEFINATELY be an investigation of this administration. When Clark was running, he said it would be his "top priority" to investigate AND OPEN the 911 investigation report. The repukes fear him.

No, the repukes won't have a chance to revolt. The military will stop them. This whole debacle just may be the demise of the neo-con movement and the repuke party, as we know it. Please!

5. The vast majority of the US population
is moderate middle of the road and inclined to lean which ever way the wind is blowing. But they won't lean too far in either direction as a general rule. The wing nuts on both sides are a minority.

If the right wing nuts start acting hostile and going to extremes the majority will turn away from them and they will be branded as the anti-American terrorists they are.

6. 50% or there abouts
of the extreme right wing want bush and his gang gone. they don`t like the pat act,the jews who are running the whitehouse, and other stuff bush has done. they are upset with the abuse/torture that we have done in iraq because it puts our soldiers and the usa in greater danger...
