DAWN KENT
Former Chief Justice Roy Moore campaigned Saturday in Vestavia Hills for attorney Phillip Jauregui, who's challenging Rep. Spencer Bachus for the GOP nomination in the 6th Congressional District.
Moore called Jauregui, who has represented him for six years, a Christian family man who is "well studied and trained in the law and particularly in the Constitution of the United States."
"I believe this state, this nation, has a unique opportunity to have somebody in Congress with an understanding like Phillip Jauregui," he said. "Phillip has an understanding of the First Amendment, an understanding of God's law, an understanding of the connection between this country and our moral basis."

I found this interesting because Spencer Bachus is GOP through and through. Why would Roy Moore campaign for someone other than a true, blue Christian GOPer? Because he is not Christian enough for Roy.
To me, this is an insight into Roy Moore's thought process when it comes to the GOP. He is pissed off at the GOP and Bush, and intends to make as many waves as possible. I think Roy will run for president against Bush. He will announce at the end of June with the Constitution Party.
-Bush is looking more vulnerable
-Roy is a narcissist
-Roy knows he can't win, but it will propel him into the spotlight which helps his eventual gubernatorial candidacy
-Roy feels betrayed by the GOP because of the 10 coms debacle
-Roy has nothing better to do now that he is out of a job
-Roy has many Alabamians and others urging him to run
We need to pray hard (sorry, I couldn't resist) that Roy will run. If he does, Kerry gets at least one Southern state if not more.
