Has Broadband changed your life?
Funny question I know...BUT... During the days of dial-up I barley surfed the internet... But now it's like riding a 10 footer... I credit DU and the many political blogs with changing my perspective on the world of politics and quite frankly, without Broadband, it would have been a bit tougher...

C-Span, captured video, Web casting, etc... all made easier because of Al Gore's Superhighway....

1. In some ways

I have to say it has. It's been incredibly informative and interesting...interacting with so many liberals/progressives...-- distracting though, as a student, this site is both the greatest and the worst thing I've discovered on the internet.

4. Absolutely...
Where I live is about 32 miles from my actual workplace. I am living with, and taking care of my elderly and invalid parents. I do every bit of my work from home and am able to do so because of broadband. It allows me to make my living and to take care of the needs of my folks without ever leaving home. It has been a complete blessing in my life! :loveya:

5. I don't know how I lived without the 'net....
...for the first thirty years of my life.

Just for everyday information gathering for work and my home life alone.

I can't imagine being without it.

On the down side, although I've met a lot of exceptional people on the 'net, I am now also aware exactly how many crazy idiots there are out there.
