Outsourcing Oscars
Seven Outsourcing 'Oscars' were given out this past week. For excellence in outsourcing.

for Prestigious Awards for Excellence
DALLAS, TX - May 9, 2003 - The Outsourcing Center and Everest Group, in association with Forbes "Special Sections," announced the seven most outstanding outsourcing relationships of the world. Winners of the Outsourcing Center's 2003 Editor's Choice Awards program were selected from a group of 90 nominations worldwide, demonstrating excellence in outsourcing, are:
1. Best Partnership - Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers (buyer) / Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) (service provider)
2. Most Visionary - Beaumont Hospitals (buyer) / Beaumont Services Company, LLC (service provider)
3. Most Strategic - Rhodia (buyer) / Accenture (service provider)
4. Best Government- City of Falls Church, Virginia (buyer) / Reliable Integration Services, Inc. (service provider)
5. Most Flexible- City of Chicago, Illinois (buyer) / Unisys (service provider)
6. Most Improved Process - Detroit Public Schools (buyer) / Compuware (service provider)
7. Best First Steps - Trinity Industries, Inc. (buyer) / BearingPoint, Inc. and Outsource Partners International (service providers)
"These seven relationships demonstrate best practices in creating and sustaining mutually beneficial relationships whose value increases over time," said Peter Bendor-Samuel, CEO and founder of Everest Group and Outsourcing Center. "The winners are superior examples of the strategic use of outsourcing to achieve high value in business transformation and competitive advantage initiatives."
The seven winners of the prestigious awards were honored at an "Oscars-like" ceremony and awards dinner the evening of May 7, hosted by the Sourcing Interests Group in conjunction with its annual conference. Their stories will be featured in the May 15 issue of Outsourcing Journal and a May 23 "Special Section" supplement in Forbes magazine. snip
