The whole tone here has changed in thee last 3 weeks. As though on cue, we are being overloaded with 'righteous' criticism of our own people, and since we're open-minded and not completely intolerant of dissent, unlike the RW, we try to negotiate with these miscreants. We know them by their usernames there and there is VERY little mod interference or censoring so we get to fight them mano a mano (or woman to woman as it were). It's good. We kick their asses every time. So satisfying. Then they pout and go away until the next damage control cycle. Typical little pinheads that they are.

I saw one example earlier where someone argued with a person just for the sake of arguing with them for almost the entire thread. It was SUCH an inane argument, too. My radar started pinging.

Open-minded is good. Allowing sloppy thinking and sloppy arguments are not. You can keep an open mind AND confront sloppy thinking head on at the same time. They aren't mutually exclusive. Do that, and the undercover freepers will out themselves in no time!

Because, when you think about it, you've got the hard right and the hard left bitching about Kerry, and his own people are murmuring about how lame his campaign has been. There's video footage of him taking about 6 or 7 differing stands on just about everything, and SOMEHOW, even though Iraq has gone south on The War President with a dubious National Guard record, Kerry's getting beaten up over whether he tossed his medals overhand or underhand.

The strategy seems to be "Stay The Democratic Course," and pray that Bush keeps screwing up monstrously and doesn't swipe the election. That seems like a pretty risky strategy to me...
