Would Powell turn on BushCo?? Would McCain???

After the EMBARRASSMENT that Powell got by Shrubya saying they need another $25 BILLION THE DAY AFTER Powell made the public statements about not needing more funds (nice way to keep your top people in the loop Shrub..)...

After the EMBARRASSMENT that BushCo is heaping on the American military with not taking some action and letting things get out of control.. how much more will McCain take of this Shrub-azi administration and their lack of ethics and morals?

Which will turn on BushCo first?

Powell walk away (I suspect he would keep his mouth shut, but just walking away would say volumes)?

McCain effectively calling in an Air Strike on Crawford by bolting the neocon-Repub's? Would he join Kerry (not necessarily on the ticket, but endorse him)? Be totally independent?

Which one will crack/blow first??

1. McCain's probably the best bet
Though, I would love to see Powell do it - but only if he starts singing. Which is what he'll do if he has any self respect left.

2. Both are turn coats

Both of them try to make people think that they are more liberal than a neocon.
I don't trust either one of them.

3. Powell is leaving
Edited on Fri May-07-04 11:29 PM by pres2032
According to my political science professor who has lots of DC connections, Powell is out as Sec of State. That'll move Condi Rice to State and Steve Hadley to NSA.

edit: spelling

10. If McCain bolted...
... that would be about the last nail. He's been barely restrained in giving Shrubya lip service and kinda-support...

.. Can you imagine the venom if he cut loose and spoke he mind???

9. McCain did turn on Bush today
McCain valiantly exposed today that Rumsfeld did not know jack shit about what was going on or who was in charge at that wretched Iraqi prison at the time of the torture.

In my opinion, however, McCain was motivated by the disrespect the executive branch showed Congress by hiding information crucial to its oversight authority on interrogations.

At least McCain is asserting congressional power, even though he doesn't give a shit that Bush trashed him and his wife in the republican primary. McCain has a sack, he just does not put it to use on a principled basis. I guess that kind of makes him a republican pussy.

11. I keep thinking one day
McCain will just say F%^$ you guys I'm an independent. I really wish he would, he doesn't need to be a republican to win reelection.

Two decorated Vietnam War Heros on the same ticket.

14. As a former POW
you can bet that McCain is going to be extremely sensitive to the way the United States treats prisoners. I imagine right now that he's simply beside himself with disgust.

I think that McCain will turn first, and that will provide cover for Powell to quite BushCo.
