Help Indict Bush and Cheney!

IndictBushCheney.org writes, "This is to invite you to join us in a citizens' movement to indict members of the Bush administration now and George W. Bush when he leaves office... 'Just won't happen!' you say. Impeachment of Bush is what won't happen while the radical Republicans control the House. But indictment is different. Grand juries can indict officials of the federal government, except the President, whom they conclude should be tried for crimes such as those enumerated here. The Citizens' Indictment can lead to the full investigation, arrest and prosecution of officials in the Bush/Cheney government from Dick Cheney on down. This can happen. And if the President is not impeached and tried while he is in office, he can be indicted after he leaves the White House. Now or at any point, a real grand jury can do with the Citizens' Indictment, or variations or parts of it, whatever they have the courage, democratic convictions, and patriotism to do."

1. The President may be civilly sued.
Let's take George to Small Claims court.

Start inventing complaints now. Remember, keep them under $2,000.

3. Hummm..... interesting concept
In Texas, the Grand Jury is the most powerful political body in the state. They can become what is popularly termed a "run away Grand Jury" and investigate any crime anywhere in the state. They can get their term extended by asking permission of the judge of the court they are convined in, and start an investigation by calling any or all parties involved. They can issue subpeonas to anyone, and that person is required by law to come. They can ask for legal help from the local District Attorney or, if he's a problem, kick him out of the Grand Jury room. They can request (and usually get) a special prosecutor hired by and responsible to them.

They are sworn to secrecy as to what was testified to, but they can say who was there to testify.

To be heard before a Texas Grand Jury, any citizen can simply write a letter to the Foreman, whose name is public information, requesting to come speak to the Grand Jury.

Sadly, 99% of Texas Grand Jurors have no idea that they have these rights and powers. Not shockingly, the powers-that-be want control and a run away Grand Jury is their worst fear.

I wish Ronnie good luck and hope he takes this to a Travis County Grand Jury - Austin ain't exactly Bush-friendly.

I wrote this quickly because I'm on my way out the door. Skip over my typos and pretend you didn't notice. Or, notice them and feel very superior! I'll come back and post references and more information if anyone wants it.
