The newest patriotic slogan? Freedom Fuel!
You may find this hard to believe, but here in Raleigh, NC, the local BP gas stations are now advertising Freedom Fuel...

I'll let that sink in...

I thought it was pretty innocuous when the "God Bless America" and "Let's Roll" signs started appearing in the station's windows, but this almost made me get in an accident.

Aside from being more ridiculous jingoistic cannon fodder, this is an absolute affront to common sense.

Dependence on foreign oil is a huge part of why we're so reviled around the world and why your current president will never let the truth about Saudi links to terrorism come to light.

Freedom Fuel...Go out and pump some patriotism into your tank today!

1. Wel, that's a third freedom the American people have...
...after freedom fries and freedom toast. Freedom of conscience? Freedom from religion? Freedom of speech? Freedom from eavesdropping? Don't laugh at me, those things are only for communists!

2. My car has a freedom leak
I think it has something to do with the freedom pump but freedom is getting so damn expensive I'm thinking about converting the thing to propane.

3. I guess I'm old fashioned...
But I'd have preferred to call it Victory Fuel, to go along with my Victory Gin.

4. What a Freedom Fuck(tm)
Want true freedom fuel, get an electric car.

Anything that uses oil keeps us all enslaved. Oil that could be used for any number of things.

10. Freedumb fuel? Did Halliburton get the Iraq oilfields running?
Just how far is Raleigh from Mayberry, anyway? Does Goober still pump the gas, or is it self-serve?

...this kind of display would lead you to think otherwise.

One more note on this. They have a big poster-sized sticker of a soldier holding a gas nozzle like an M-16 and firing (drum roll, please...) RED, WHITE, AND BLUE GASOLINE!!!!!

I think I'll go drink some of their fine freedom fuel...

:nuke:
