...Falluja? Or the bad people who killed the 4 contractors? Or the people who killed over a hundred of our soldiers there last month? Bush don't care about them no more? No one even mentions Falluja any more. What a difference one news cycle can make.

Don

1. Falluja and Khe San
Falluja is getting to be a little bit like Khe San during the Viet Nam conflict. It had to be defended at all costs and it's improtance was drilled in every day. After the Viet Cong or RNVN withdrew, we abandoned the base. I forget how many died, I think it was around 3000 (some Viet Nam vets can give a better number)but it was useless because we abandoned it.

Falluja reminds me of that. Generals are pretty stupid sometimes.

2. I got your answer!
The "foreign fighters," the "insurgents" and the "terrorists" have either moved on to a new city, through the nearest checkpoint, or they have joined the Fallujah Brigade. Traded in their Russian weapons for American ones that bring a paycheck.

This is pathetic, isn't it?

Did you hear that our troops killed a "terrorist" guy today and he turned out to be a paid Iraqi police officer - working for the so-called coalition?!! Still had his papers on him!
