Chuck Todd--"Kerry in a rout"
I must say I said this long before Todd.

Could Kerry Win in a Landslide?
Chuck Todd, editor of The Hotline, has an intriguing article in the new issue of The Washington Monthly that makes the case Kerry could indeed win in a landslide. In fact, he argues that, if Kerry wins, it is much more likely to be by a landslide than in a close election.

His reason for believing this is very simple: "Elections that feature a sitting president tend to be referendums on the incumbent--and in recent elections, the incumbent has either won or lost by large electoral margins." He goes on to say: "If you look at key indicators beyond the neck-and-neck support for the two candidates in the polls--such as high turnout in the early Democratic primaries and the likelihood of a high turnout in November--it seems improbable that Bush will win big. More likely, it's going to be Kerry in a rout."

1. tHE hOTLINE A WING-NUT RAG.
This is designed to get the right wing out to vote!!

He NEVER says one favorable word for
Democrats, so get out your TON of salt if you think this is some unbiased article without a political purpose.

2. I disagree
I find Todd fair and evenhanded. I never felt he came off partisan in any way.

3. It's hard to know who to believe
I've heard that undecided voters (during the campaign season) tend to eventually favor the incumbent and then I've also heard the opposite.

4. ALL BETS are OFF. Bush has shown he is an abboration, a fluke.
a fraud, a pretender, definitely not a Statesman, Class or no Class, and he is ANGRY.

As we are finding out, there is hardly any place in this World for Anger among Nations. It is Counter Productive.

Bush to lose big. He has revealed too many Negs, hardly any Positives.

5. Bush's handling of this prisoner abuse debacle will do him in
he said he was out of the loop? what utter BS. The people are getting sick of this. First 9/11 and now finally this. The deck is stacked too steeply against his clueless ass.
Clinton recognized and owed up to his mistakes, and was a strong and decisive. This asshole is dangerously deluded. AND ineffective.

7. Sure hope he's a good fortune teller.

Honestly, I'll be voting Kerry, but it's still because I think Bush is the biggest disaster this country has experienced since the Great Depression. We have GOT to get rid of the SOB.

I've been biting my tongue (on the boards) to not say anything to Nader supporters, but it's getting harder and harder to do. Even if Kerry were miles ahead in the polls, the election is still 6 months away and alot can happen between then and now. I just really hope these people really look deep into their souls and do the right thing because they're scaring me almost as much as Bush supporters do.
