Bob Novak condemning free speech for Michael Moore
is shocking considering he used his free speech to out Valerie Plame from the CIA and to keep his traitorous ass out of jail in doing so. Even Joe Wilson defended Novak's right to free speech to bad Bob isn't man enough to do the same for Mr. Moore. Please deluge CNN with emails protesting Novak's comments.
crossfire@cnn.com
and please keep this kicked for Mr. Moore. Thanks

3. What a dingbat
But I'd still like to read what he said? Was it in an article?

I can see him defending Disney on the right that they are under no obligation to put out Michael Moores movie--while despicable, it's at least accurate. Nobody has the "right" to have their movie distrubuted if the distributer doesn't want to.

But if it's any more than that, than it's extremely hypocritical on Novaks part.

20. How Do We Know What's In Moore's Contract?
If Moore is required by Disney/Mirimax to provide x number of films over 5 years (typical contract), and if he delivers that film and Disney fails to release it, that sure sounds like a breech of contract. Plus, if Disney agreed to various "step" along the way in the production of the movie (surely Moore had to report to the studio his expenses in filming the movie and to obtain various licenses and enter other contracts that the studio was aware of) and if Disney approved those, then it'd be interesting to see this thing in court as to why they would go 90% of the way on fulfilling their part of the contract and not the remaining 10%.

From reading and re-reading Moore's post, I get a feeling there's a bit of show going on here. It worked for Mel Gibson...all the controversy surrounding the script all the way to the release made Gibson and his distributors very happy and wealthy. A similar "controversy" is not going to hurt this movie in the least. Those of us who like Moore will run to the Cinaplex the first weekend, this is for the rest who will be more inclined to plop down the $8 or $10 a ticket just to see what all the noise is about. If it worked for Madonna, it can work for Michael Moore.

Yes, Novak's hypocrisies are so over the top these days it's amazing anyone takes him seriously. His articles almost read like RNC press releases or viscious hatchet jobs on Democrats. He doesn't care...he's old and if everything goes to hell, he doesn't care, he'll be there to meet us.

Edited on Wed May-05-04 04:05 PM by Flubadubya
said some months back on Crossfire that he really didn't think democracy was a very good idea (or something to that effect), but no one picked up on it or ever said anything else about it.

I strongly believe in Karma... Novack, you're day IS coming!

18. Jon Stewart said it best.
During his interview with Joe Wilson, he referred to Novak, at least twice, as "Bob Novak, douchebag, I mean, reporter..."

19. Did it... keep it kicking!
Where in the HELL does Bob Novak get the idea not to defend Michael Moore's free speech?
I just heard him denounce Mr. Moore as all sorts of negative things and then add that THIS MOVIE (Fahrenheit 911) SHOULD NOT BE RELEASED because it is saying negative things about the Bush family.
Well, boo-hoo, Bob. Isn't that nice to pass along after even Joe Wilson DEFENDED your right to free speech and covering your sources the other night on Larry King live?
Seriously, CNN, I think it's time to retire Mr. Novak and cast him in the dustbin of his one-way "what's fair for me isn't fair to anyone who doesn't think like me" constitutional rights!!!
And while we're on Mr. Novak, what is it that he doesn't understand about this TORTURE in Iraq? That the president and his cronies all said these big words about it, NOBODY said the only one that the Iraqis should have heard first and foremost : SORRY.
But then I suppose that's not a word in Mr. Novak's vocabulary, either.

21. Daily show also had an exchange like this:
Played clip of Novak trying to ask some guy whether Clarke, a white male, had it in for Condi Rice, a black female (Robot?).

Stewart: I didn't know this deck even had a race card.

I am putting this in all of my posts, I am sorry if it's annoying. If you read this and you want to go to a message board where you can fight with good, red-blooded, total asshole, racist, stupid, neocon fucks, go to bighuskerfan.com/phpBB2/ and argue with the people on the general discussion board. For one thing, they consider du.com a "hate site" and they're also really big on calling people unamerican. I am currently banned for being unamerican. I think you'll really enjoy it. It's free and the people are so stupid it's like shooting ducks in a barrel.
