Jimmy Carter's decision to boycott the Moscow Olympics because of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan hurt him badly politically.
I don't think Dub would take the chance of the same type decision costing HIM politically, even if our athletes were indeed put in REAL danger (which I don't think they are) by participating. Especially given Dub's penchant for caring only about HIS safety, and not the safety of any "ordinary American".:mad:
The US not to attend for fear of heightened terror attacks. Given all the media attention on the Olympics, and all the sponsorship however, I can hardly see that happening.
