Let's not forget the administration knew for months about the abuse
and they did nothing...

At the very least Rumsfeld and Myers should go...

Liberal or conservative (whatever your political beliefs are), their actions have actively endangered young Americans in harms way.

They MUST go!

3. What did they know, when did they know it ...
and most importantly ...

WHAT DID THEY DO ABOUT IT !!

It appears AWOL and his minions were intending to sweep this under the rug forever.

Cheers

5. They were hoping it would just all 'disappear'
I really think someone in the Pentagon leaked some of this material...

And frankly, they deserve a medal.

8. they put the contractors in there
specifically to allow the torture without breaking the genevia convention on military part.

they send afghanistan prisoners to jordon and saudi to be tortured.

they knew about it before it started. they created it. that is why no one in middle east will believe bush

hey you all see the demonstration at the prison, they are yelling to let all the women out. they know their woman are being raped

10. At the VERY LEAST Rumsfeld should step down
This is a matter of American policy and World affairs.

We are going to pay for this blunder long after we kick the Chimp in charge out of the White House.

Every trade negotiation

Every Diplomatic Mission

The entire World's view of American policy

Is going to be tainted by this barbarous act. The one man that ultimately is responsible (Rumsfeld) needs to be held accountable. The reports were on his desk and if not he is still responsible for them not being on his desk. He toured the prison and has No excuse for not knowing and STOPPING THE ABUSE

11. at least Bush doesn't have to worry about the ICC coming down on him
would this be one of those "politically-motivated" war crimes accusations? The kind Bush was so worried about that he wrangled other countries into giving us war crimes immunity?

13. Abuse is a Rove/Rummy spin term.
Please call it what it is torture.

Lets not contribute to another White House word game like the use of "insurgents" in lieu of Resistance Fighters.
