Poll question: What are you willing to do to get "Fahrenheit 911" distributed?
Miramaz (Disney) is refusing to release it in North America before the election.

1. None of the above. I'm sure I'll bea ble to get it on the net
somewhere. Why would Disney care if you burned your Disney stuff? There aren't enough parents who would actually tell their kids "No we're not going to Disney because I'm protesting".

Sorry, I just can't see this working.

3. Well THIS parent is certainly not going to go anywhere near
Disneyland with my kids this summer. Or any other time, either. My kids are already pretty aware of all this crap that's going on (although we turned off the news last night when our son came into our bedroom and the torture photos were being shown again). They understand Mom's and Dad's political leanings, they're proud of the "revolving" bumper stickers I have in my car's back window - the current one says "Impeach bush" (sorry, CANNOT give him a capital letter). So they won't mind. I guarantee it. In fact, they're liable to tell their friends, knowing MY kids. They've been activists for several years now.

They make me PROUD!

14. If you live in the Midwest, Cedar Point is an excellent amusement park
In Sandusky, Ohio. It's between Cleveland and Toledo, on Lake Erie. They have the best and the most roller coasters-if your kids are teens, it's better than Disney from their perspective.

9. Why d'ya think we call it "mouschwitz"?
My daughter (OK, she's 10) would be SO behind such a protest!

6. Clever comment...
.... from someone who signed the petition...
"I am getting another cat to make sure my home is mouse free."

Go sign the petition, folks. And write a letter to Disney also.

What's this? I need to update my browser to see the list of the Disney execs and where to write? Sheesh!

5. Hold an "underground" filming of the documentary.
At my college campus, with a projector checked out from the school library, some other volunteers, and some creative civil disobedience that I'm sure Michael Moore would approve of.

7. I can't boycott Disney's crap.
I've avoided it as mind numbing palp for decades. I'd have to inflict that crap on myself in order to stop afflicting myself.

10. Suggest Moore call Icon Distribution, Inc?

Mel Gibson founded his own company to distribute The Passion of the Christ on the assumption nobody would want to touch anything so controversial. I would not be at all surprised if he happily undertook distribution of Fahrenheit 911.

12. Gibson
had originally turned it down.He is a conservative and probablly nervous about the Bushies, though he has expressed concerns about Bush's stand on the war. He is not certain he can support it.But to go so far as to support Moore? I would be sceptical. It's not as if he needs the money.

11. NOTA, but I would help sponsor an independent distributor
who would pick up the rights. Fear not, progressives, someone will--or that slime Eisner willl have a "change of heart."

Mark my words.

16. donate DVD or video copies to your public library?
I've heard that the wait-lists were hundreds of people long, when "Bowling" came out. (I gave my copy to the local branch and apparently it was in continuous circulation for the next year after.) If Michael ends up selling it from his own site, this is one way of guaranteeing that a lot of people who don't get to go to the theatre often will have a chance to see it.

17. May I suggest an angle of attack for letter writers:
kill a couple birds with one stone and ask readers if it isn't dangerous for democracy that so few, large companies, which care so much about things like property taxes in FL, and what not, have so much control over the vital information we need to know in order to have informed opinions about American politics.
