Watch Binky's face during these interviews today for the Arab World
You are seeing the face of a man who is either going to resign or get impeached by his own party. This is Bush's "I am not a crook" speech.

Don

1. Why does he blink so much?
Is that a tell tale sign of a liar? I never see him do that when he's bullshitting the lemmings on the campaign trail.

7. He IS looking mighty blinky, isn't he?

PS...I posted this elsewhere, but look at CNN's front page before they change it. He learned a new word..."abhorrent!"

:toast:

But if you want to know why he's REALLY doing it, grab onto this comment from the MSNBC article "Bush says Iraq prison abuse is 'abhorrent'...In PR offensive, president grants interviews to Arab TV networks" (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4855930/):

"Hoping to curb fallout over the abuse of Iraqi prisoners, President Bush on Wednesday told Arab television viewers that the treatment of those detainees was "abhorrent" and does not reflect American values."

“These things are complicated. They take some time,” he said of the investigations. “The system works. The system works.”

Meanwhile, Rummy is making sure that the administration doesn't humble itself TOO much:

"Earlier Wednesday, the director of U.S. prisons in Iraq apologized for the abuses, and Rumsfeld offered a more limited apology. Asked on NBC's "Today" show if he'd apologize, Rumsfeld said that "anyone who sees those photos would apologize to the people abused," he said, referring to the images of detainees at the Abu Ghraib prison outside Baghdad. "That apology is there."

HOPING TO CURB FALLOUT. And the apology "is there," it's the responsibility of the people who WANT it to LOOK for it.

:wtf:

Hoping to get re-elected. He's a uniter, not a divider, as readers of this book know:
