McCain has been one of the biggest critics within the Republican Party albeit tacit as it is. I wished he would just stick his guts out and just run against Bush. I would love to see the right split up. It's apparent that the only reason he sticks up for Bush is for the sake Republican unity but take that equation out and have McCain run. That would shake up the right's foundation.

1. Um, McCain DID run against Chimpy, and they ripped him and his family
to shreds. Remember R Primary 2000? Remember SC? McCain is crazy, his wife is crazy, he has a black child...and that's just for starters, and stated benignly.

This is a viscious, evil crowd. McCain won't cross them again, but he'll do whatever he can to keep them from smearing Kerry or anyone else.

8. The operative word is Bee-atch.
McCain in 2000 was made *'s bitch. They challenged him and he backed down; and, since then, no matter how "uppity" McCain may get in one interview or another, when push comes to shove he places his mouth in the service of the Chimp.

2. I think they have something on him. Otherwise, the conflict
between his party (bush*) allegiance and his conscience must be killing him.

3. It may be aging but
McCain doesn't look well -- at least in comparison to his photos from only 4 years ago.

I hope this isn't the case. There are too few real heroes left.

5. If he were really ill, then his conscience would prevail and he would
speak out against Bush.

6. I would have to agree Bill C.
The man has been through a lot in his life. But I believe that he still has some piss and viniger left in him, thats what makes him a real hero!

7. Because Bushco damn near destroyed him 4 years ago
here in South Carolina. I'm assuming that given his health problems and what happened 4 years ago, he just doesn't want to put himself or his family through all of that again.

9. Please read something.
Do you have any idea about how politics work. Politics is not a TV show or stupid movies. Please learn about politics. Then you can give us your wisdom.
As FDR said "an ignorant opinion is worthless".

Please forgive me if I am not a damned Political Science major. You have misunderstood me. My posting is based on just speculation. Perhaps a wish. I am sorry but in the real world some of us are not political experts and for your information, yes I do read up on politics quite often. Don't insult my intelligence! Your reply is inflammatory and quite frankly I don't care much for your attitude. I am not ignorant. I am a lot things but ignorant is not one of them.
