Did anyone hear Bush slip up and say something about 'bringing' WMDs --
Yesterday while listening to KPFK (Pacifica), they played George Bush saying something about the US bringing the WMDs -- they were making a big deal about him committing a Freudian slip and saying 'bring' instead of 'find' -- I expected this story to be all over the internet, but I haven't seen a thing. Anyone else hear what I heard or am I hearing things -- maybe God's talking to me too??

1. When did they say it happened?
C-SPAN might have the video.

2. Unfortunately I didn't hear when he said it --
but they played the clip a couple of times. It sounded like an answer to a question about Iraq, He was making several points designating each as 1, 2,3, etc.
Quigley was the DJ and he was having a great time with it.

3. I'm listening to his press conference held today at the hog farm.

The Rumsfeld thing is at his side. So far, nothing about WMDs out of his mouth. But at 9 minutes and 36 seconds, he makes up a new word: interative. Then he checks it with the Rumsfeld thing to see if it's "the right word." Ever the slimy sycophant, the Rumsfeld thing, evidently, gives an affirmative nod and/or grunt.

On edit: Just listened to the entire excruciating thing, and the slip up isn't in there. It must have been in somethimg else. Maybe the big press conference he gave last week?

5. I just sent off an emai to JQuickly asking for a link --
hope he answers soon.

- I think Rove has let the negative reporting go on long enough and given enough rope to the democrats to hang themselves on the issue -- that's why I firmly believe that a BIG WMD find will happen soon (planted of course). I think Bush slipped up again just like he did with his statements about 'seeing' the first airplane attack the WTC.I've said all along it's important for democrats to emphasize the so called 'imminent threat' that Bush used to call off the inspections and go to war not the existence of WMDs themselves. The fact that Hussein did not use the WMDs in the war or since proves that he was no imminent threat -- in fact, if he had them and didn't use them, he showed a great deal more restraint and judgment than the chimp, who in fact did use WMDs in Iraq (cruise missiles, cluster bombs, napalm, etc.)

8. There are no significant amounts of WMD
probably not even a few grams, much less hundreds of tons. This is not news the Bush administration could or would keep secret. They are twisting in the wind on this. They are hinting they might "find" them to keep the heat off until it dies down. But Rove knows that you can't get rid of the "liar" stink once it starts to stick, even by proving you told the truth. That's why they were so anxious to get beyond the yellowcake lies and had Bush half admit it wasn't accurate and by golly he never said he personally witnessed it.

9. Can't wait to hear what you find out about this.

Sometimes when he speaks "live" he says things that don't sound right and they are edited out before the clip is shown again. I know this has been done because I've seen it with my own eyes.

11. sounds more like
the truth slipping out than a misspeak...

definition of an AWOL misspeak: never having to say you lied
