DU supports the troops postcards...

I got the idea from a thread that was started some time ago...what I would like to know is...if everyone would be interested in sending postcards with some type of DU design on it and say something like "Democratic-Underground.com Salutes you" on the front and sent them to random soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq. Then on the back you can write a personal message to any soldier...we can send them to the company commanders and have them distribute them out to the soldiers...

With the right wingers out there saying that because most of us democrats/liberals who don't support the war are undermining the troops mission and bringing down their morale...we can give them a good slap in the face if enough people send these cards out to our troops...I'm not saying that's the sole reason to do this...I think that our troops would get a kick out of them...

I think it would be a great thing to have these troops over there see how much we really do appreciate what they are doing and how proud of them we are...

I spoke to skinner about it and he said to start a thread to see how many people would be interested in participating...Ideas for the design and message are welcome...maybe some of our talented photoshoppers out there can come up with something...
