I make my way Through freeperland, and the interface is pure shit, i can barely look at it. After all the homophobia and racism, and jingoism, i noticed they mention Du a lot and post threads form here. And then there is CU which i just heard of an hour ago. I looked at it, and quite frankly i think they have a complex, they ripped the name, and on top of that 90% of the posts are reposts from Du, and its a haven for users banned from here. Remember when it was Clinton's penis? I think these people are so inhibited that they are psychologically off. They actually post things like the left is anti Christian, and people actually take it seriously. Anyone who has ever given a damn about anyone was on the left. Bush is about as close Christlike as Gates is to the poverty line. I respect different opinions from the left, and center, but upon out of the box analysis, the right wing is just off. Fascists, greedy, racist, homophobic, fundamentalist. I mean when you think about it, you can't be fore love and liberty and be right wing, for one they would call you liberal commie traitor. Just imagine if Jesus came back tomorrow at 3pm, and spoke anywhere in America. Honestly who do you think he would resemble? a leftist, or a pro big business hateful evangelical? I'm not perfect but it seems the pharisees and Sadducees are alive among the Christians. I still can't believe how stupid one would have to be to thing of the left as anti-religious. We just have more thinkers who aren't so weak minded to need religion to depend on, for our insecurities, and whatever the faith maybe the left tends to let there actions speak and keep silent. Pious Poseurs are republicans, no if and or buts. There is a dying breed of republican like specter, and to an extent Goldwater, but they are being wiped out by the religious right and fascists and neo-cons. But what is this obsession with controlling everyones personal life, and they are the party of irony, what 40 years ago was the party of getting the government off the backs of people, has did a complete 180.

FR even, because it's totally in reference to this site. "FR" is at least its own, lame, thing.

I agree that it's not worth worrying about them. FR is referred to a lot more on this site than FR refers to DU, partially because we employ "freeper" as a generic shorthand for "any neanderthal right winger" much more frequently than they would say ""DUer" to refer to a liberal or Democrat.

I don't think sites like FR and CU are of much value education wise because I'm not convinced that they are very representative of an "average" spectrum of Republican voters. I view them as rather "fringy". If there were some gigantic Fox News or Limbaugh forum (is there?), that might be more valuable for gauging "average" Repub sentiment. On second thought, I still wouldn't go there much.

Occasionally I am curious about FR views about a specific subject, but spending time there is too much of a downer, just leaves you feeling depressed because of all the negative emotion. And the design is total shit, like 3 threads to a page.
