Want to feel good?
I have been saying this exact thing for a few months now. I truly believe Kerry will win easily. Now read what he writes.

(This from counterspin)
That means, once's Kerry starts his TV campaign, Bush's inherent weakness will come to the fore...yet again.

As I pointed out on many occassions, I believe the American people have made a decision about George W. Bush: They want to get rid of him, so long as someone credible and reassurring comes along as an alternative.

Right now, those people are willing to give John Kerry a chance to make his case for why he's that alternative. Kerry, however, hasn't been getting his message out very well lately. And, the Bush campaign has been really good at raising people's doubts about Kerry.

All that, I think, will change.

By the Democratic convention, Kerry will probably have in a slight lead over Bush that will become a double-digit chasm after the convention.

It will narrow again after the GOP convention, somewhat, and then the election will break Kerry's way at the end.

I don't even think the election will be that close.

1. The tension will be unbearable...
on election night.

2. I am planning on taking the day after the election off.
I will be purchasing large quantities of alcohol. I will either be celebrating! or drowning my sorrow.
I plan on celebrating

3. Only if the Voting Systems are not irrevocably compromised
THAT is far from assured.

4. I agree with you 100%
People ARE looking to kick that squatter out and all they need is to be shown that the alternative, Kerry, is a credible figure. I have no doubt that Kerry will be able to make that case.

5. I'm feeling better already :_)
All we need now are some positive posts!! I don't want to read always, how bad things are going. At least EVERYTHING is better than Bush. But Kerry HAS TO WIN!
I truly believe, that the Americans are waking up, but still don't talk in public, what they really think. Could that be true??

6. Kerry needs the right message people..
.... I hope he's not being stubborn about this - the fact is, he's very knowledgable, but he doesn't provide a unified image - that's making it hard for him to get traction.

9. Kerry's team is BRILLIANT. In fact it's being handled by bill clinton...
I think his admin is doing a SPECTACULAR job of dodging the rovian spin, lies and bullets.

What's WORKING is that the kerry admin is forcing the rovian spin docs to blow their lead WAY WAY early.

NO one is going to give a crap abour rehashed hero crap on election day; what we're GOING to be watching is the abject and spectacular failure of the bush regime as their atrocious and catastrophic failed policies come result in wretched failure.

Give em enough rope and they WILL hang themselves.

8. I plan on celebrating, but I think it will still be close
The docs may have to up my bp meds for election night. This election will be won or loss in a handful of states. Kerry really needs to hit the economy in the midwest. Choice of VP will make a difference in some states as well.

10. I don't think the repuke convention will help bush at all....
There are going to be so many millions of Americans protesting that convention, it will be nothing but scarey.

The fact that New York is denying protest permits to so many groups right now will really become a rallying cry to the disenfranchised. It will backfire, because these people are going to New York regardless, and will just join the protesters that HAVE permits! IF New York issues ANY permits! If they don't -- well, that's too bad, too. It just might get ugly.

My guess is, it will likely make the 1968 Democratic convention look like "patty cake" (as that asshole in Falluja called our massacre of Iraqis there).

In fact, I think the repuke convention will show the world that bush has no business occupying the White House, and that repukes need to go hide under a rock somewhere.

If Kerry chooses Wes Clark as VP candidate, the contrast between the two campaigns will be so glaringly obvious that bush is going to appear more of a smart-ass than ever, and Cheney will just look like the slimey snake he is. They don't have any substance or character, and Kerry and Clark are EACH ONE a class act, but TOGETHER, they're too awesome. They represent the very best of what Americans have ever been.

Bush has caused this much devastation in 3 1/2 years. Just give him a few more months of failed policies, and the country will only be in worse shape. He keeps making worse & worse decisions.

12. I feel very optimistic
Here's why:

1. Bush will lose support from thousands of people who voted for him last time. Moderate Republicans are becoming increasingly disgusted with Bush.

2. Bush will pick up very few people who voted for Gore in 2000.

3. A great deal of Nader voters in 2000 will not be voting for Nader again, but will be voting for Kerry.

4. Kerry is already leading in the polls, and he isn't even the "official" nominee yet.

5. Bush has spent millions of dollars on attack ads in battleground states, and it doesn't appear to be helping him.

6. Millions of young people who never voted before, either out of apathy or because they weren't of age, will be out in droves this November. Most will be voting for Kerry.

7. Never before in recent history have more people been determined to vote someone OUT of office, rather than vote someone in. ABB resonates with MANY moderates and independents.

I'll be on pins and needles Election Day, no doubt. I fully plan on celebrating that night though! Plus, I cannot WAIT to see the reaction of the freepers. That alone will be sweet.
