How long has bush* known about the prisoner abuses?
He came out last week and said he was disgusted. I thought I read several months ago that there was an investigation into possible prisoner abuse in Iraq.

1. Knowing how incurious he is,
he probably didn't ask about it when it was first reported. Things only get his attention when they're politically damaging.

3. In Iraq?
There were stories about possible prisoner abuse in Guantanemo, but I don't remember any about Iraq until reasonably--I mean in the mainstream press.

This is one that we are going to have a hard time tying back to the oval office--too many links in the chain; most of which are going to protect the President.

4. Knowing
If it wasn't for my baptist upbringing I would be wanting to place a bet that he still doesn't know. Miserable failure and fairly dangerous Man

6. I recall some item about Amnesty International
trying to get information to the WH last fall or winter. In any case there is more than one international agency monitoring situations around the world and it is impossible to think that no one within the intelligence department has not heard anything.
This whole thing reminds me of the pre 9/11 bullshit. If anyone was waving a warning the administration will claim they did not hear anything.
See no evil, hear no evil, if only they would speak no evil!

7. Privately he said that the prisoner abuse was nothing compared
to what they did in the Skull & Bones Society back at Yale.

10. Remember, the news is read to him
He probably did not know about it until it blew up onto the front pages of the papers. And I'm QUITE sure, since the abuse HAS been under investigation, that SOMEONE in the misAdministration knew.

We'll see how it washes out in the next few days. If it drops under the radar, or if the RNC slander machine comes up with a new diversion, you know its become critical mass. Just like the Plame investigation. NO new information has been released for MONTHS. Do any of you wonder why?
