Anyone listened to the Social Security Admin's on-hold messaging?

I was trying to get some SS info for my Mom the other day. While on hold, I kept hearing various messages telling me that, while SS is solvent now, it will need to be "drastically reformed" if it is to remain so. I heard this in several different messages.

Now, is this a sneaky way for the Admin. to "soften up" seniors for his impending SS "reform" plank in his '04 platform?

Personally, I find it disgusting that they are using the non-partisan SSA to preach their "reform" message.

1. Actually, they're softening up the baby boomers

so that when retirement rolls around and the money they've taken from us for the past 45 years isn't there, they can say they warned us.

This is Precisely why I got into politics in the first place...to work and make sure our Social Security was there when we need it!

And it darn well better be!
