Pointy Girl Torturer think's she's Leather Tuscadero
If I am correct, Pointy Girl here thinks she's cool. Cool like Leather Tuscadero, Pinky's younger sister from Happy Days.

Wans't that her little move - to slap her knee and point her finger like that? In fact she's doing Fonzie's thumbs up and and Leather's point together. This must mean that she's extra cool.

1. The victims of this abuse should have the right to sue the Federal
Government and (the Independent Contractors) responsible for this abuse in U.S. Federal Court. Any Iraqi held as a detainee that claims such abuse should have this right.

If a couple of good international lawyers set up shop over there, and win one key victory and guess what they'll come crawling out of the wood-work like the sex abuse victims did against the Catholic Church.

Good serves the military right...this is un-acceptable...

No freedom. No rights. No hearing. No representation.
No dignity. No sunlight. No human contact.

On edit: I wonder if DU would let us lift the "bitch" ban and use it in this instance?

21. Your anger is misdirected?
It is her higher ups, included her Commander in Chief, who should be punished for these crimes. I doubt if her family members in the US, had any clue what this girl was really like, or what she had become.

22. Yes, but the soldiers need to punished severely.
- I have read the Guardian article and it seems like the soldiers will be trying to shift blame to the contractors. NO EXCUSE! These soldiers knew better and must be punished with prison time. The military needs to make an example of these dishonorable soldiers.
- I know there are many good MPs out there, but, in my military experience, the MPs were the most unprofessional, immature, and stupid soldiers I encountered.

should be punished, but you were advocated going after their families. That is an entirely different matter. I can't imagine what their families must be going through right now, at least if they are normal human beings.

I assume someone is "talking to me" if they directly reply to my post. If you wish to talk to somebody else, reply to their post. Not trying to start a chickenshit flame war, but I have a right to defend if someone accuses me of advocating violence against a soldier's family.

34. It should not stop with the individual soldiers ~ Who is their CIC?
The buck needs to stop. Bush* is to blame and he needs his come-uppence. Bush* is their Commander in Chief. He is the one that has the ultimate resposibility. He is one who should be charged with war crimes as much as any individual soldier.

Not that it's important, but I also believe that the fuzzy part of the picture hides a state of sexual arousal. That would explain the
" " and BIG smile I guess. Again, not that it matters .. just a minor detail in the whole stinking sink hole.

These are the kinds of atrocities that people do to make a good impression on their corporate sponsors. I've seen almost as bad in corporate America among 'people' who just want to get ahead and are willing to sh*t on everyone else to get there. Seriously. The almighty American $$ brings out the worst in some people. Part of it is seeking 'approval' and/or 'fame' at the expense of others as well. The 'American Dream' circa 21st century.

It's so sad. The planet is a hell hole. Major reason I do not believe in hell after life. If 'god' can come up with a more disgusting place than this planet, he is just a f*cking sadist.

14. So, being forcibly stripped naked
hooded, bound and being held against your will would make you sexually aroused? :wtf:

I don't understand how you would have arrived at that conclusion. My guess is that it would have shriveled up and she is trying to emasculate him by making fun of the size of his penis, mocking his "manhood."

15. could be
I didn't mean to imply that those conditions would cause sexual arousal. But the news reports have mentioned 'masturbation' and 'simulated sex acts'. Not being a man, I can't say which would be MOST humiliating in that situation. My POV leans towards the idea that a 'proof' of arousal in such degrading circumstances could be pretty darn humiliating... If a guy says the shriveled condition is more humiliating, I would take his word for it. Point being, the more humiliation the better, which is the fundamental distressing situation.

23. It's a fact
...that some women, when they are being tortured (and other such attacks), experience physical arousal, which is of great shame to them, since there was no actual emotional arousal for them. I'm sure the same (maybe more) amount of shame would be felt by these men to be aroused by their torturers. Makes the torture even more debased than it already is, to then humiliate the prisoners by laughing, pointing and taking pictures of them.

And, yes, it's a shock to me to see a woman doing this. A very sad day.

17. There's something about
these photos that bothers me. No question, I felt absolutely revultion and disgust when I looked at them yesterday...and nothing about could or should be revered.

But here's what doesn't seem quite right (and I'm just asking the question not defending the actions or making an accusation that the pics are fake/staged)... Why are the none of the prisoners hands bound?

Sorry, I missed that bit of news. If true, it seems highly coincidental that victims and potential future witnesses might have died in an alleged "attack".

33. Here's the story:
GUERRILLAS barraged Baghdad's largest prison with mortar shells today, killing 22 prisoners suspected of belonging to the anti-American insurgency or Saddam Hussein's former regime in what a US general says may have been an attempt to spark a riot against their American guards.

Ninety-two prisoners were wounded in the attack, 25 of them seriously, said Colonel Jill Morgenthaler, a US military spokeswoman.
"This isn't the first time that we have seen this kind of attack. We don't know if they are trying to inspire an uprising or a prison break," Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt told AP Radio.

All of the casualties were security detainees, Morgenthaler said, meaning they were suspected of involvement in the anti-US insurgency or of being part of Saddam Hussein's ousted regime. The prison houses some 5000 security detainees.

I am looking for corraboration on this but unfortunately, I don't know the right people... These pictures had surfaced on internet Porn sites according to one DUer. THAT is the reason they decided to finally go ahead with the story- they've been out there for a while, beneath the surface...

If anyone has proof of this. Please let us know.

Do you for one moment, imagine the RAGE of the homophobic, virginity-prizing Muslim world that these perversions were used so a bunch of depraved Westerners could get their rocks off?

And also where there are pictures of men being abused, there are pictures of women also, I am SURE of it because there were stories a while back, right before all these hullaballoo, about insurgents, of women being released from that jail half-naked which INFLAMED the people.

38. Actually
http://news.scotsman.com/latest.cfm?id=2860210

The commander of the US prison camp at Guantanamo Bay has been sent to Iraq to oversee the treatment of 8,000 detainees as part of an investigation into torture at a US army-run prison outside Baghdad,

Photographs of the torture shocked the world after they were shown on prime time TV in the US.

Six US military police men and women have been charged following the discovery of prisoner abuse. But their families claimed today they were ill trained and are being made scapegoats

What training do you need to have to know that kind of thing is wrong?

However, some fault needs to lie with the military in general, and this CiC. It's a well-documented scientific fact that things like this will happen when you put normal people into the environment described.
