8. But after a sterling daytime performance at the plate
Lautenberg struck out with Paula Zahn on CNN. He and that ass McConnell appeared side-by-side. McConnell gave that debunked crap about JK voting against some defense spending. Then Zahn pitched the fat one to Lautenberg...she said "To be honest though, wasn't Vice President Cheney against many of these same programs? Sen. Lautenberg?"
Lautenberg actually looked startled as if he hadn't been listening and after a pause, said "Uh...yes, I think so. But that's not the point...I mean saying John Kerry who volunteered to go to Vietnam...etc., etc."
I'm screaming at the TV, Say YES! Of course he did...it was the freakin' "peace dividend" the GOP took credit for and was so proud of...they voted against everything and Bush I and SecDef Cheney bitched because they didn't cut defense even more! SAY IT!!"
Instead we got the war hero story again. Major opportunity for a broadcast debunk lost.:(

2. I guess you mean aside from the ones who are standing up for him?
They are standing up for him. If you expect to see it on the news, you'll be disappointed. The news is owned by Republican contributors.

Kennedy, Lautenberg, Byrd, Clinton come to mind right off. There were others, those were the ones I heard. It was so bad McCain called a truce.

7. Some Democrats
are supporting Kerry. Some, like Lautenberg, are great. But there are not enough to penetrate the republican whore media blackout of anything helpful to Kerry. Therefore, it doesn't matter. It only matters if it reaches undecided voters. ALL Democrats need to be screaming about this, in voices too loud for the media to ignore. Really...if every Democrat who was invited on a news show was outraged about this, the message would be delivered. But they aren't.
