Bush - "I ENJOYED it."
"I'm glad I did it," Bush said. "I'm glad I took the time. ... I enjoyed it."

He said Cheney "answered a lot of their questions."

Thompson said Bush "was asked the vast majority of the questions and he answered them ... I thought the president gave a five-star performance."

Full story:
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20040429/D828O5HG0.html

Excuse me! :wtf: ENJOYED IT!

Bush lights up a cigarette and says to the commission, "Was it good for you, too?"

Seriously, how inappropriate is this cavalier behavior?

"I enjoyed it."

How must the families who lost loved ones on that tragic day think of this?

5. This manufactured farce has got to be
Edited on Thu Apr-29-04 07:45 PM by Marianne
the most laughable and insincere incident that our government has forced upon us

We are intelligent human beings

and we are subjected to shit like this Potemkin, Bush, government by this stupid man who was not elected, and thinks he was, and expected to buy it when we are told it came from his smirking mouth.

Please

we do NOT buy this.

You sounded like a stupid ass when you came out to the
'Rose garden to present your PR -propaganda to the American people, George.

You sounded like the idiot your are, George. You stammered and you stuttered

and you were incoherent, as usual.

We have come to expect that from you, while we teach our children how not to speak,

else you will sound and look like a stupid man who has little reading and little reading comprehension. In other words, he , our "president" is really stupid. LOL

Face it.

You should resign George. You are inept. You are not capable of representing the people of America on the world stage. You are in over your head. You are a phoney and you think you will get away with it , because that is how you have so far in your miserable life have gotten to where you are--with lies and with con man methods

You are too stupid, George to cope with the challenges tpo which you have been propelled. You are inadequate.

and, as you leave when the Democratic opponent ousts you by the democratic process, take your stupid, belly button and bow, wanting to be twenty again and dressing in that manner, frumpy o lumpy, manufactured first flady, full of surgical , bad eye lifts, out with you when you go. She does nothing for us either, even though you and yours would like to build her up as a wonderful contributing, independant woman )heh LOL that is joke) as so, there is nothing you can do to elevate her dumb as rocks demeanor. She continues to sound and look like a dumb lump and she, as you, is, incapable.

She does nothing for any of us

13. We can count on Marianne to tell it straight
thanks.

I have always called bu$h "The Potemkin Village Idiot."

Sigh - but it's not funny anymore. And "a five-star performance" - I feel like I am in a surreal world. Was this nation expecting a performance today?

Our tax dollars at work.

Yeah, circuses will do that for you.

Bush loves being in the center of attention. Of course he enjoyed it.

"It was a sobering experience." would have been a more approriate remark, but we all know that's kind of hard for the Chimp.

15. "I enjoyed it."
Well, of course Bush was just conveying what he thought the reporters wanted to know. They were concerned that he might NOT have had a pleasant time, weren't they? Isn't EVERYONE in the world concerned about his happiness and well-being?

Spoiled, immature, narcissitic rich kid. It's always about HIM...

What cracked me up were the statements to the effect of, "I wish all of America could have heard him!"
Yeah right... so do we.

17. I'd enjoy seeing him being sentenced for incompetence and
dereliction to uphold the his sworn duty to protect the United States. I suspect that this charade will not mean the end of the story. I'm betting the next visit before the commission will be under oath and in the public's eye.

20. Reminds me of an episode of Kung Fu
Where a cowboy killed a chinaman, and tired to cover it up. WHen finally exposed in the trial, he said:

"Yeah I killed a Chinaman, So what?

I enjoyed it!

It's not like I killed a real person or something"

To which the courtroom let our a gasp and convicted him.

26. That's not the way I read it
He was coached and prepared for tough questions. He got in there and they pitched a couple softballs at him, and he thinks he's going to get away with it. I think they played really nice with him, and didn't ask him anything of importance at all.
A total waste of time all the way round.

23. "I Enjoyed It." --- That's his way of trying to convince others that it...
was more of a 'social' gathering rather than the INQUISITION that it should have been. "A good time was had by all. We laughed and smiled and told jokes."

28. When I saw your headline, I thought you were referring to
the line in Lawrence of Arabia, when Lawrence tells Allenby there's something that bothered him about his having to execute Gassim, the man he rescued from the Nefud:

"I enjoyed it."

Should have known better, though. How many people did * execute in Texas? I'm sure he enjoyed every one, and never lost a minute of sleep.

29. I did it Myyyyyyyyyy way!
When I felt like it, they came over to my place, all nice and contrite like, sat there without their tape recorders or cameras or anything, and then after we responded to all their cute little questions, they tidied up after themselves and left.

It was especially fun when they had to ask if they could go to the potty.
