marines to "pull back" from fallujah
cannot pacify em... sending in secret weapon. the Saddamites!

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=514&e=2&u=/ap/20040429/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_9

The force, which would replace the Marine cordon and move into the city as U.S. troops pull back, would be led by a leading general from Saddam's army and include Iraqis with "military experience" from the Fallujah region, Byrne said.

It could even include gunmen who fought with guerrillas against the Americans — particularly ex-soldiers disgruntled over losing their jobs when the United States disbanded the old Iraqi army, another Marine officer said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The new force would not include "hardcore" insurgents or Islamic militants holed up in the city, the officer said. Many of the guerrillas in Fallujah are believed to be former members of Saddam's regime or military.

1. Interesting concept isn't it?
Pull back and send in a couple of generals to take over command of the guys you've been fighting and thus restore order. This must be a variation of the declare victory and go home approach.

4. Declare victory and come home
The WMD are gone. Hussien is gone.

Uhhhhh, what are we still fighting for? When in the hell did the US declare war on the People of Iraq? War on the People of Iraq is a war that will never end.

We made sure the WMD are not there and Hussien is gone. Mission accomplished. No more killing. No more war.

Declare Victory, you idiots, and bring the troops home! Free Iraq!

2. Can't wait to see how this plays out
They're sending in someone who can organize the insurgents into a cohesive fighting force. Who do they think they will fight? Who thinks this stuff up?

5. Well, I have a sneaking suspicion that

:nuke:

is inevitable.

Why are we letting Iraqis who trust us to do OUR dirty work? That's slimy, obscene, and evil. Especially if we repay their kindness with a little nuke... Hey, we've already used depleted uranium over there, making Iraqi and US soldiers incurably sick. x(

We provocated the blood bath, invaded the country based on lies and selfish vengeance from our dimbulb ruler*, and because they are fighting to save their land, we're going to nuke 'em to shut 'em up. After all, it's "kill or be killed", right? (don't yell at me, I'm not the primitive who came up with that disgusting phrase...)

Everybody happy now? I thought not.
