NYT Dowd quote: W. sees the war on terror "as a religious war."
In their new book, "The Bushes," Peter and Rochelle Schweizer, who interviewed many Bushes, including the president's father and his brother Jeb, quote one unnamed relative as saying that W. sees the war on terror "as a religious war": "He doesn't have a P.C. view of this war. His view of this is that they are trying to kill the Christians. And we the Christians will strike back with more force and more ferocity than they will ever know."

We've always known this, of course, but it never hurts to have it front and center a-gin.

1. So much for that quote about the other cheek
Bush's Christianity seems to correspond more to Bush's id than to the Bible.

very apparent that we got stuck with the worst apple of the whole bunch. W's f*cked up relationship with his father got us into this mess as a final attempt to show Daddy who the REAL man is...W is sick and delusional. He truly is the demon spawn of the BFEE.

4. I don't believe that
I think it's a ruse, just another one of many sociopathic devices he uses to make people think he has morals.

5. Interesting New Poll...
I heard this in passing this morning...

http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/world/8545117.htm?1c

DENVER - More than half of American Christian men questioned in a survey were only marginally satisfied with their church experience, and most ranked family, money and health as more important than spirituality, according to a study released Wednesday by Promise Keepers. The survey also found that most of the respondents did not feel spiritually challenged.

The study, conducted by California-based Barna Research Group, surveyed 415 randomly selected men in six major cities who considered themselves "committed born again Christians" or "active church members."

The study was commissioned by Promise Keepers, a Denver-based men's evangelical Christian group. Founded by former University of Colorado football coach Bill McCartney in 1990, the group encourages men to become more active in their religion and families.

About 30 percent of the respondents said they participated in small groups for Bible study and prayer.

The study found that more than 85 percent of the men did not feel "spiritually challenged" and, when compared to similar studies involving women, men were less likely to take leadership roles at church or set spiritual goals.

<snip>

----------------------

Hmmm...if the holiest of the holies rank family, money & health ahead of the invisible cloud being, what does that say about the real motives of the "born agains" and this regime.

The Repugnicans will go down to the bitter end wrapped in a flag and a cross, even if they have to desecrate both to feed their selfishness.

6. Bush is dangerous
Bush strategists seem to believe that the worse Mr. Bush makes things, the better off he is, because nervous Americans will cling to the obstinate president they know over the vacillating challenger they don't know.

This is the strategy they're following. And if they are desperate in September or October, you can be srue they will arrange for an "attack" or a "near attack" that our wonderful leader W will save us from...

We've always known this, of course, but it never hurts to have it front and center a-gin.

Who DOESN'T know this? Even the fundies KNOW this is about 'religion'. They like it that way.

9. He is giving aid and comfort to the enemy by revealing these
things.

Now, the HOLY WAR will be a real one. The Mullahs will point to this statements and say, "here is the proof".

Millions of suicide bombers will be coming to our Nation for the one purpose of killing Americans.

Bush has no idea what damage he is causing...

On the other hand, its open that its all

INTENTIONAL. He wants a war of all wars. Only Evil People want A WAR of ALL WARS
