CNN: "Iraquis Polled: War Did More Harm Than Good But Worth It"
...that's the headline on the CNN front page right now. When you click it, the article title changes to "Poll: Iraqis conflicted about war, its impact."

http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/04/28/iraq.poll/index.html

"Thirty-three percent of those polled said the war had done more good than harm, while 46 percent said it had done more harm than good.

Forty-two percent said Iraq was better off because of the war, while 39 percent said it was worse off. Given the sampling error, those figures indicated a dead heat."

I guess that pretty much rules out the Bush scenario of U.S. (excuse me, "coalition") troops being welcomed with open minds as "liberators" and "winning their hearts and minds."

3. Not exactly. 42% said it was worse off and 16% said it was the
same. That's 58% that are saying things aren't better. Peace and stability: 54% say it's worse, 19% the same and only 25% say it's imporved.

61% say it was worth it to get rid of Sadam and 57% say the US shoudl leave immediately.

80% have an unfavorable opinion of Sadam and 55% have an unfavorable 0pinion of Bush. When you consider Sadam was there for 30 years and Bush has been there one year, you can jump to the conclusion that we are the normal people with our dislike of Bushco.

5. Trouble is, they can't poll those that they slaughtered,
.
.
.

And I'd like to know how many of tens of thousands wounded and imprisoned were included in that poll.

Wait and see,

once, if ever, they "quieten down" Fallujah

another "hot spot" will appear.

and another

and another

until they leave.

(sigh)
