So sick of those disgusting questions from the media regarding "who are you more comfortable with in your living room (i.e, tv) for the next four years"? Let's educate GI Joe on the military background, service and performance of Bush and Kerry and ask him who he would want fighting shoulder to shoulder with him and protecting his back. Wouldn't it be grand if we could literally stand in front of a partrol ready to go do house to house combat in Fallujah with one slot missing. And say to them: I have before you Bush and Kerry. Which one should I give the weapon to to go on patrol with you?? Kerry has been there and done that--WITH COURAGE AND HONOR. Bush would do what he did in the Nam era: he would run for a bar and drink and snort coke and desert. Well, that's right after he would try to use his name and influence to get out of having to fight ass to ass with a bunch of sweaty, socailly unimportant nobodies. So I ask GI Joe----which one, honey?? You have a great chance of coming back in a bodybag....................which one?????? When the rah, rah rhetoric died down, who would they want between them and the body bag??

You get to play with nifty toys, and the chicks throw themselves at you, and you can drive your sports car back to your apartment in Houston as soon as the weekend arrives ... ooops, sorry, I was thinking of Bush's Stateside duty, not being shot at in miserable conditions and bossed around by senior officers.

Seriously -- Bush claimed he didn't know what all the fuss was about with the Vietnam war (even though he was at Yale during the big protests). For him, being in the National Guard was a chance to goof off and network. I'm certain that he has no idea what real soldiers go through (and wouldn't care to find out). He probably thinks the troops should be grateful to him, for sending them on this adventure/divine mission.
