McCain...do us a favor...shut up..

Just heard a little blurb from McCain on AirAMerica doing the "Can't we all just get along" thing regarding Iraq...

No, McCain we can't all just get along...it's way past that you crook. Leave your corrupt party and that would be a start.

Does it infuriate anyone else when these lying, conniving thugs start whining about wanting a bipartisan tone after supporting the most partisan secretive lying asshole on earth for the last 4 years?

As far as Im concerned, Bush did the equivalent of sucker punching us and now McCain wants to sit back and say "let's all get along" No McCain, we can't...we got a beer bottle broken of our heads when we weren't looking and now this is a barfight.

FUCK YOU MCCAIN. You don't GET IT DO YOU? We were fucking LIED into this corrupt war, and you helped that happen. However the war is going is YOUR FUCKING FAULT YOU CROOKED LYING PRICK.

Sorry, just had to get that off of my chest....

4. It's so typical!!
They get their shots in, then it's all "let's just stop, it's not relevant" when Democrats fight back.

And yes, it's just like the eight years of Clinton-bashing followed with "let's change the tone" once Chimpy gets in the White House.

Cowards!!

6. McCain's back on the Rez
After going off the reservation for a couple of years the good Senator's come to his sycophantic senses. As a card-carrying Repuglican he knows where to kiss and to whom to kiss. Kissing up to Kerry's not going to further his career if Democrats don't win not only the White House but the Senate.

7. Uh, remember: McCain is GOP.
He's not as bad as many Rethugs, but he is one of them. Why should you expect that he might do us a favor?

8. I just e-mailed McCain
I told him he was looking on the wrong side of the isle to try to change the tone. He needs to make his remarks to his side of the isle.

9. lol - it's just another date-rape setup.....
....need to extend grover's wonderful analogy tho, to include a ike/tina reference: "baby baby - I love you - I don't mean to hurt you - you know i'd never hurt you"

i really hope the dems don't fall for this crap - the republican chickenhawk establishment needs to be laid waste in its entirety - no quarter.

10. He's old-school repub/conservative and he wants his party back
Once upon a time, Republicans were not dominated by conservative, big-business, military-industrial complex interests. There were even liberal republicans like Gov. Milliken in Michigan, Gerald Ford and Poppy Bush before he became VP. The Reagan became President and the right wing wackos took over the party. There are still a few liberal republicans left (Guliani and Specter), but they are few in number, so they don't have that much power within to change the party's focus.

I don't agree with McCain on a lot of issues, but I respect him for standing up for what he believes. I also respect his refusal to call Kerry names, and get into the nasty side of the Bush campaign. Of course, he's going to campaign for the GOP candidate, he's still a republican.

18. redqueen I appreciate your sentiment.
The statement is metaphorical. I think these neo-con ideals need to be buried six feet under, not the deluded people who espouse them. I'm sorry if you misunderstood what I was saying.

16. Doesn't he realize they're doing EXACTLY the same thing to Kerry that ...
... they did to him during the 2000 Primaries?

He was recently quoted as saying the Republican slimester who bashed him for Bush as a "despicable" person. Doesn't he get it! Bush was silent about that just as he's being silent now. Silence = complicity. Wake up, McCain!!
