? for All DUers re: liberal radio and streaming

I host a local liberal talk show in the Youngstown-Warren, Oh market at 1570 WANR. We split between local issues and national stuff, with my co-host don handling the local and me doing national. I've got 30 years of broadcast experience, and we have a decent local caller base. Ironically, we're on after G. Gordon Liddy!!! One of our promos for OUR show has a joke about "a seance and Musolini endorsing Bush!"

HERE ARE MY QUESTIONS:

We are wanting to stream to the Web and even add an 800# for calls, BUT... IN WHAT FORMAT?

WarpRadio is reliable and high quality, but they want $250 per month.

I can get Windows Media support for $80 a month, and ShoutCAST streaming is even less expensive (but requires WinAmp AND a plugin).

I'm thinking Windows Media only support, since it ships with the OS, and I'm NO fan of RealPlayer.

Finally:

Would you give it a listen???

I get my internet radio stations from iTunes, live365.com and shoutcast.com

Can you share your experiences with ShoutCast? You're right, I can't exclude Mac users...
