... where "Bush" and "oil-rich country" are used in the same sentence. If there's one thing MK can do, it's make long-term plans. And I don't believe he would suddenly be all buddy-buddy without a really compelling reason. I'm not buying Bush's line of "we scared him into a being a good boy". BushCo can be mind-blowingly naive where oil money is concerned. (Or are they ... when they know they won't have to pay the price, in dollars or lives.)
And we know that BushCo have some VERY odd friends, and always have had. Far more than those of us here who've been looked at askance by the authorities for being subversives, i.e. going to an anti-war protest, or wearing a "Moron" T-shirt.
Unlike some people in the administration, I've never met Saddam Hussein, and I bet you haven't either, WJMS!
This whole thing reminds me of the Victorian era, or the Middle Ages, when the kings of opposing countries had more in common with each other than they did with their own populace.
