Please help me understand. Kerry's medals are worthless; he did little or damn near nothing to earn them. So why the ruckus and angst because he supposedly threw them away? Would this be a flip flop? Can it just be I don't rationalize like they rationalize?

Heads up to Veterans - Conservatives place no value on your service to your country or any of the awards you may have received because of your service to your country. They prefer dope smoking military deserters to look up to and to idolize.

1. It works like this

When a non-veteran Dem nominee (Clinton) runs against a repub vet (Bush Sr., Dole) military service is the only qualification that counts. When the dem nominee is a decorated veteran and the repub is a AWOL coked up frat boy, the dem nominee's military credentials, substantial wartime injuries, and subsequent critique of a quagmire war render him the less patriotic and less qualified candidate.

The only thing that matters now is unquestioning support of any and all wars, not service or sacrifice in it.

I have long concluded that the Bush supporters in this country no longer behave or think in a rational manner. They will follow their boy king no matter what, with little recognition of irony or their own hypocrisy.
