Pro-Choice Republicans
Some effort went into making yesterday's march non-partisan. Are pro-choice Republicans in limbo? I checked the website of the pro-choice coalition, and they don't seem moribund. They seem involved, active and upbeat. I just wonder why they're not more effective.

Welcome to the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition, the largest pro-choice advocacy group within the GOP. Our principle goals are to elect pro-choice Republicans, keep the federal courts free from judicial activism, and help pass legislation supportive of family planning, prevention and women's reproductive health on both the state and federal levels.

Help us defeat George W. Bush, Tommy Thompson and John Ashcroft?

or cared about politics - I remember hearing "constantly" that a woman's right to choose would never be taken away as "statistics" proved that the majority of abortions are given to upward mobile women, educated, career oriented, middle aged. I think most Republican women would not vote for anyone anti-choice - thus Clinton's appeal to middle aged women. I have read that it was a plan of the right wing to manipulate the anti-choice vote away from primarily Democratic catholics.

They have about as much clout as the Log Cabin Republicans...
